Where new lives start

one by one.Women’s Bean Project is a nationally recognized social enterprise that

provides jobs for chronically unemployed and impoverished women.

They create lovingly handmade gifts, gourmet food and jewelry for

consumers and retailers.

Every sale changes a woman’s life.

Our program participants come from all walks of life and varying

circumstances, but they share one commonality−chronic unemployment.

This is caused by a myriad of circumstances such as lack of education,

inconsistent employment, a history of incarceration, or a former addiction.

What matters is that we meet the women where they are and create

an environment that is supportive, non-judgmental and safe. We help

them to obtain the necessary job skills and life skills to find and keep

permanent, full time, career entry-level employment. Women work in

our 9-month transitional employment program to change their lives and

create better futures for themselves and their families.

Each product has a story behind the hands of the woman who spent hours

packaging it. From the beans that go into each bag to the delicate beads

threaded on a beautiful handcrafted necklace−our products provide hope

and a chance for a woman to earn her future through the skills she gains at

Women’s Bean Project.

For every dollar businesses like the Bean Project spend, the return

on investment to society is $2.23. Women’s Bean Project is a

All of our soups are gluten-free EXCEPT Toni’s 10 Bean Soup, which contains barley. They are made with ingredients that are naturally gluten-free, but are not produced in a gluten-free facility. All Women’s Bean Project’s products are certified Kosher by Scroll K and are designated with a [K], EXCEPT our coffees and four salsa mixes. 15
