Is a Wedding in Jamaica for you?

Destination weddings are growing more popular by the day and Jamaica ranks high on the list as one of the most popular choices amongst couples looking to tie the know overseas.

Do we have to bring guests along?

This one is entirely up to you. Inviting guests is the difference to having a destination wedding or you and your groom eloping.

The best thing about a destination wedding is that your guest list is usually far smaller and intimate than of a home wedding, for the basic reason that many people won't be able to commit to several days spent away in a foreign land, plus the extra finances involved.

On the flip side, you may have to prepare yourself for the fact that some of the people you dearly want to share your wedding day with, simply won't be able to.

How about price, is a Jamaican wedding cheaper?

The cost of the air fare and accommodation is one of the main expenses of a Jamaican wedding, but if you work with a wedding planner or book a hotel wedding package, they can often source some great discounts on air flights and rooms for yourselves and your guests.

Generally speaking, a destination wedding can save you thousands of dollars over a home based traditional wedding.

Is a Jamaican wedding legal?

Yes all weddings carried out in Jamaica are legally binding. A certified copy of your marriage certificate will be issued within a month, after your wedding and can be used as an official document for any business which may require it to be shown.
