PARTICIPATION GRANTSThe organizers encourage participation of young scientists, in particular PhD candidates, by offering to PhDs and students from IRUN member universities several participation grants (fee waiver + free accommodation + travel subsidy) based on submitted abstract competition judged by the Program Commit-tee. The deadline for submitting abstracts competing for participation grants is July 30th 2010.

The aim of IRUN network is to further improve the quality of research and teaching at the universities involved. Furthermore, the network serves as a platform for joint conferences, sym-posiums and seminars. Current members of the network are Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland), Peter Pazmany Catholic University in Budapest (Hungary), Radboud University Nijmegen (Netherlands), University of Barcelona (Spain), University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany), University of Glasgow (Great Britain), University of Münster (Germany), Université de Poitiers (France), University of Siena (Italy). Previous editions of the IRUN Symposium on Nanotech-nology were held at the University of Münster (2008) and at the Jagiellonian University, Krakov (2009). This year, the organising committee kin-dly invites you to participate in the 3rd edition of the symposium, which shall be held in Barcelo-na in October 14th and 15th.
