Course Structure. The expectation is to complete this course in the desired time you feel comfortable. There are no exams issued for this course at the current time. You should try to schedule at least 2 hours of interrupted

time per session to devote to this course. All training courses provided by Magnacad LLC. adhere to the

PULSAR© Program Rules and Regulations and thus refer to this document for more details.

Class Hours: As desired, 2-hours minimum per session is recommended

Course Description and Objectives. This commercial-level video based, instructor led, training program

training course is structured as a self-paced environment. The program is a video training course where users can watch the video and then follow along using the IRONCAD™ product. The goal is to take users from a complete

novice to a competent user in just 4 days. It covers Computer Aided Design (CAD) based design techniques for

both 2D and 3D approaches using IRONCAD™ as the software tool. Students will learn the user interface and

tools required to create a design in three dimensions and thus transmitting the 3D data downstream to applications

such as Drafting, Rendering, and Animation.

Prerequisites. Students must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and basic

tools such as Cut/Paste and general file navigation. Prior CAD experience or techniques are not necessary.

Textbooks and Materials Supplied. This course comes complete on a USB Flash drive and will require an

internet connection. Student keeps the USB media for reference. Any excess hardware and software required to

accommodate students needs will be at additional fees and not kept by student.

Instructional Processes. Students will

• Create three-dimensional CAD data (parts and assemblies) using IronCAD 3D software.

• Edit and manipulate created 3D CAD data using IronCAD tools.

• Learn the appropriate Assemblies structure along with proper editing levels.

• Transcend 3D to 2D data maintaining associative linking capabilities.

• Refine techniques through various videos.

• Learn simply 3D parametric functions and constraint processes.

• Learn the basics of 3D modeling and creating Associative 2D tooling prints.

• Edit imported 3D data through various Feature Recognition techniques.

Expectations for Student Performance. The overall objective of this 4-day Self Paced Course is to provide a insight of various tools available in IRONCAD to be able to generate accurate 3D parts and assemblies,

communicate them in 2D drafting detailed tooling documentation and migrate to downstream applications. Also

to be able to communicate design intent through annotations, rendering, animation, and more.

Evaluation. This course does not currently support any sort of faculty evaluation and/or exams for grading.

Although this course is PULSAR sanctioned, you will not receive a skill rating based on the PULSAR guidelines.

Possibly in the future this will be added.

Policies. This course is sold as a product to the end user and Magnacad is under no obligations to ensure the user

achieves any sort of skill goals. It is left to the discretion of the student to monitor their own progress and to self
