As an employee, when joining a new company, aligning oneself with the companys core values means you share similar values, that is the definition of a good fit. They are not descriptions of the work we do or the strategies we employ to accomplish our mission. The core values determine our work, how we interact with each other, and which strategies we employ to fulfill our mission. The core values are the basic elements of how a company defines their work. They are the guiding principles that dictate behavior and action. Core values can help employees to know what is right from wrong; they can help companies to determine if they are on the right path and fulfilling their business goals; and they create an unwavering and unchanging guide for success.
