Welcome to Fresh Film Festival’s showcase of best of Ireland’s young filmmaking talent in 2014.

Films don’t just happen; they are made through the hard work and determination of everyone involved.

They are made of ambition and imagination. Film is a medium for telling stories, and there is certainly a

wide range of exciting stories being told today. Everything from comedy to drama to horror is featured on

the big screen. This is where films belong, on a big screen, in front of an audience. After all, you have made

your films for the audience.

Awards are nice, but whatever happens, the most important film you make is the next one. After today,

turn on the computer, pick up a pen, line up the Lego men and get started on the next one. You might

even find some inspiration here today…

So get comfortable, sit back and enjoy the show.
