Kashan is a city in the province of Isfahan (estimated population 300,000). The Persian word Kashi, which translates into the English word "tile".

Kashan was a leisure vacation spot for Safavi Kings. Bagh-e Fin (Fin Garden), specifically, is one of the most famous gardens of Iran. This beautiful garden with its pool and orchards was designed for Shah Abbas I as a classical Persian vision of paradise.

Kashan a fost o reşedinţă de vacanţă a regilor safavizi (1501–1722). Grădinile Fin sunt cele mai faimoase dintre grădinile persane. Forma actuală a fost definită de Şahul Abbas cel Mare (1571–1629)

These gardens, dating back to different periods since the 6th century BC, also feature buildings, pavilions and walls, as well as sophisticated irrigation systems. They have influenced the art of garden design as far as India and Spain.

Grădinile persane, datând din epoci diferite, începând din secolul VI î.Hr. cuprind de asemenea clădiri, pavilioane şi ziduri, precum şi sofisticate sisteme de irigaţie. Ele au influenţat arta desenului grădinilor până în India sau Spania.

Bagh-e Fin is protected by UNESCO World Heritage Center.

Persian garden designs evolved and adapted to different climate conditions while retaining principles that have their roots in the times of Cyrus the Great, 6th century BC.

Aranjamentul grădinii persane a evoluat adaptându-se diferitelor condiţii climaterice însă a păstrat principalele trăsături ce îşi au de fapt originea în timpul lui Cirus cel Mare, în secolul VI î.Hr.

Bagh-e Fin is a wonderful garden which is famous for its waterways. The whole garden is nerved with small channels of water. Technically interesting is the use installation of holes that serve as sources and as sinks, powered only by gravity. Bagh-e Fin is protected by UNESCO World Heritage Center.

Minunata grădină Bagh-e Fin este faimoasă şi pentru ansamblul de irigaţii. Toată grădina este străbătută de canale cu apă. Interesant din punct de vedere tehnic este faptul că izvorul este captat şi adus în grădină prin cădere liberă, fără să mai necesite pompe. Grădina a fost cuprinsă în pe lista Patrimoniului Universal UNESCO

Always divided into four sectors, with water playing an important role for both irrigation and ornamentation, the Persian garden was conceived to symbolize Eden and the four Zoroastrian elements of sky, earth, water and plants. Întotdeauna împărţite în patru secţiuni, apa jucând un rol important atât pentru irigaţie cât şi ca ornament, grădinile persane sunt concepute astfel încât să reprezinte Paradisul şi cele patru elemente Zoroastriene: cerul, pământul, apa şi plantele.

The garden is also notorious as the sight of the murder of Mirza Taghi Khan known as Amir Kabir, chancellor of Nasser-al-Din Shah, Iran's King in 1852.

Grădina este notorie şi pentru că aici a fost asasinat în anul 1852 primul ministru Amir Kabir, din ordinul Şahului Nasser-al-Din
