INTRODUCTION.Business History.

Irad Office Supplies was founded in 2009, with the main area of business being supply of general office needs including computer consumables, printer consumables, accessories, computer hardware and software among others. Irad has its head offices based in Nairobi but has expanded its operations to extend to other towns within Kenya including Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Naivasha,Kakamega and Mumias

What the business does.

Irad office supplies was born out of a need not only to provide office supplies, but to offer superior quality and prices, in a timely and cost effective manner. However, It has expanded its operations to include servicing of office machines, computer network installation, and power/electrical solutions.

Irad has a fully qualified management team and extensively trained engineers on board to provide consultancy advice, manage complex projects to implementation, and maintenance.

Target clientele therefore includes:

Ministry, State corporations, and parastatals. NGOs and International organizations. Blue chip companies/corporates. SMEs. High net worth individuals.

Under this category we do the following:

Office stationery: photocopy paper, pre-printed stationery, books, pens, paperclips, staples…. Printer consumables: Toners, cartridges, printing papers …. Accessories: computer hard disks, memory sticks, mouse pads, usb keys, CDs, DVDs,

speakers…. Software: Office, Antivirus software, graphic design software, custom software ….. Computers: Servers, desktops, laptops, palmtops, tablet PCs …. Networking supplies: Network cables (CAT6), Fiber patch cords, panels, cabinets, ports,

wireless routers, network switches ….

II. ICT SOLUTIONS.

Under this category we do the following mainly in partnerships with local and international strategic partners:

Computer network consulting – planning and designing, dimensioning, and project management. Computer network installation – sourcing for materials, data/voice structured cabling, equipment

installation and configuration, and maintenance. Structured cabling – for CCTV/surveillance camera solutions, for Point of sale systems, other

applications that require networking. Wireless installation and networking – point to point microwave links, sky radios, enterprise wireless

LANs, satellite dish and outfit installations and maintenance. IT Support and outsourced management – administration and security. Web marketing – Web design, SEO, social media marketing and integration, email marketing among

other online campaigns. Graphic design – design and printing of brochures, magazines, flyers, labels, business cards, funeral

programs, birthday cards, Christmas cards, diaries, and calendars. Software products – custom software development, business management systems, hotel and

restaurant management systems, Point of sale systems (POSs), clinic and hospital management systems, microfinance management softwares, web portal applications, smart card payment and loyalty scheme/retention systems, and ERPs; enterprise resource planning systems.

Management.

Eng. Allan Wafula Mutekhele, Chief Executive Officer

Eng. Allan Wafula is the CEO at Irad Office Supplies, overseeing all overall internal affairs and operations within the company as well as sourcing for new business. Eng. Allan has a degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of Nairobi, a higher diploma in Information Systems from Strathmore University, and several networking certifications including Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCVP, CCIP, and is also a Certified Web developer (CWD), as well as an Open ERP expert.

Eng. Allan has worked at three different companies in various capacities including Safaricom ltd where he worked for five years as a Core network GSM engineer, he has a horde of experience in Telecommunication systems and information and communications technologies.

Eng. Phillip Malala, Principal Network Engineer

Eng. Phillip Malala is the Senior Network and Security Systems Engineer at Irad Office Supplies. He is primarily responsible for the Project planning, resource allocation, project execution, and Security systems design and implementation.

Eng. Phillip has a degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He also has certifications in Solarwinds certified professional (SCP), Cisco certified network associate (CCNA), Cyberoam certified network and security professional (CCNSP), and Microsoft exchange 2010 messaging admin (MCTS & MCITP).

Eng. Phillip is an accomplished engineer with a tested experience in technical implementation and support having worked for various companies in East Africa including Access Kenya Ltd.

Technical team.

Mr. Mumo Nzuki, Electrical Works Manager

Mr. Mumo Nzuki is the Electrical Works Manager at Irad Office Supplies overseeing all projects that involve power installation and maintenance including generators, stabilizers, inverters, electrical wiring, and power backup solutions. Mr. Mumo Nzuki has experience working as an electrical supervisor for Outsource technology ltd, subcontracted by Safaricom ltd in supervising contractors in installation of new power equipment, maintenance of generators and air conditioners, and generator maintenance. Before that he worked for Insteel ltd as an electrical technician working with PLCs, pumps, compressors, and boilers.

Mr. Mumo has a higher national diploma in Electrical engineering (power option) from Railway training institute, PLC technologies studies from Kenya polytechnic and certifications in computer technologies and safety and supervisory certificates from effective training ltd while he was still at Insteel ltd.

Mr. Linus Wangila, Structured cabling technician

Linus Wangila is a structured cabling technician at Irad Office Supplies with a horde of experience in Telecommunications network cabling and Equipment installation.

Linus has worked at Safaricom ltd, as a systems support technician including installation of both GSM/UMTS core and access network elements and cabling. Before that he worked at Nars Technical Services ltd as telecommunication technician where he specialized in PABXs.

Linus has a diploma in Computer engineering from Kenya Christian Industrial Training Institute, and A+ certification from Computer pride.

Mr. Anthony Chege, Structured cabling technician

Mr. Anthony Chege works as a network installation technician at Irad Office Supplies, executing structured cabling and equipment installation as per the recognized industry standards.

Mr. Chege has worked as an installation technician at Arvad limited, and later on at Safaricom ltd installing Telecom Equipment including BSC, BTS, TRAUs, and cabling, internal cabinet reorganization among others.

He is a CISCO and GIGANet certified copper cabling and fiber installer, with background in electronics engineering from Kenya Polytechnic.

Mr. Justus Wambua, Telecom equipment installer

Mr. Justus Wambua is certified Telecom equipment installer and works as a technician at Irad Office Supplies. He has a horde of experience in electrical repairs, structured network cabling using CAT cables, fiber, and coaxial, GSM equipment installation, and PABXs.

Mr. Wambua has worked for Scientronics Ltd a network installation technician, and later on at Safaricom Ltd in the same capacity.

He has a diploma in Telecommunication engineering from the National Youth Service, and certification from CCK as a GSM equipment installer, as well as Cisco structured cabling technician.

Mr. Dennis Cheruiyot, Electrical technician

Mr. Dennis Cheruiyot is the Electrical technician at Irad Office Supplies handling all projects that involve power installation and maintenance including generators, stabilizers, inverters, electrical wiring, and power backup solutions. Mr. Dennis Cheruiyot has experience working as a Power Engineer for Outsource technology ltd, subcontracted by Safaricom ltd in installation of new power equipment, maintenance of generators and air conditioners, and generator maintenance. Before that he worked for Concepts Africa Pharmaceuticals Company handling pumps and boilers.

Mr. Dennis has a higher national diploma in Mechanical engineering from Kenya Institute of Highways and building technology (majoring in plant option).

Ms. Diana Mutekhele, Sales and Marketing executive

Ms. Diana is the Sales and Marketing Manager at Irad Office Supplies leading all sales and marketing initiatives. She also oversees all our corporate branding and brand penetration strategies. Ms. Diana has experience working as a sales rep. marketing health care products for Surgipham limited. She has also worked as biochemical researcher at KEMRI, US Army medical research unit, and America medical research foundation.

Ms. Diana has a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Kenyatta University, and a variety of computing certifications including CCNA.
