You can also use RoamPulse™ to monitor specific operators with the terminating GT detail of the roaming partners’ HLR, where the ‘Mobile Application Part’ (MAP*) failures are identified as ‘Time Outs’.*Note: MAP is the SS7 Signaling protocol that ensures that the various nodes in GSM and GPRS networks can communicate with each other. MAP accesses the HLR, VLR, MSC, Equipment Identity Register, Authentication Centre, SMSC and SGSN.
