เพ�อ่ร�วมลงทุนในอุปกรณ�ส�อ่สารผ�านทางสายตาแก�ผู�ป�วยท่ีไม�สามารถส�อ่สารผ�านคำพ�ดและการใช�ท�าทางInVent investment in “ Eye Blink Communication Aid ”

เม่ือวันท่ี 16 สิงหาคม 2556 อินทัช เปดตัวผูรวมลงทุนรายท่ี 2 ในโครงการอินเวนท ไดแก บริษัท เมดิเทค โซลูช่ัน จำกัด (Meditech) ซ่ึงเปนผูผลิต และจำหนายเคร่ืองมืออิเล็กทรอนิกสชวยในการส่ือสารผานทางสายตาแบรนด “SenzE” โดยเคร่ืองมือดังกลาว เปนอุปกรณชวยในการส่ือสารผานทาง สายตา สำหรับผูปวยอัมพาต ผูปวยโรคกลามเน้ือออนแรง รวมถึงผูท่ีมีความไมสะดวกในการส่ือสารโดยการพูดและการใชทาทาง โดยใชเทคโนโลยีการตรวจจับการกะพริบตาท่ีใชงานรวมกับซอฟตแวรภาษาไทย

อินเวนท ไดรวมลงทุนใน Meditech ในสัดสวนรอยละ 30 ของจำนวนหุนท้ังหมด โดยมีมูลคาการลงทุน 5 ลานบาท ซ่ึงการรวมลงทุนในคร้ังน้ี อินเวนท เล็งเห็นถึงโอกาสเติบโตทางธุรกิจของ Meditech รวมถึงการพัฒนาความรูความสามารถและศักยภาพของ Meditech ที่จะนำไปใชรวมกับ ผลิตภัณฑอ่ืนๆไดในอนาคต เชน การนำไปเช่ือมตอกับระบบส่ือสารผานโทรศัพทมือถือ นำไปผลิตอุปกรณทางการแพทย ผลิตเกมส หรือ อุปกรณท่ี สามารถใชวิธีควบคุมการทำงานโดยการกะพริบตา เปนตน

อน่ึง โครงการอินเวนท เปนการรวมลงทุนในรูปแบบคอรปอเรท เวนเจอร แคปปตอลดวยการสนับสนุนเงินลงทุนของกลุมอินทัช ใหกับธุรกิจขนาด กลางและขนาดยอมของไทย (Small and Medium Enterprise - SMEs) ท่ีมีศักยภาพ ในธุรกิจเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ โทรคมนาคม และส่ือ โดยมี จุดมุงหมายเพ่ือชวยเพ่ิมขีดความสามารถในการแขงขันของบริษัทท่ีเขารวมลงทุน โดยสัดสวนการถือหุนในบริษัทน้ันๆ ข้ึนอยูกับการเจรจาตกลง แตจะ ไมเปนผูถือหุนรายใหญ และไมยุงเก่ียวกับการดำเนินธุรกิจตามปกติของบริษัท

On 16 August 2013, INTOUCH announced its second Venture Capital partner “Meditech Solution Co.,Ltd.” The company manufacturersand sales Communication Assistance Solution by Eye Blinking Detection under the brand “SenzE” which is specially developed for paralysis patients and disables who have difficulties in communication. The Eye Blinking Detection technology and Thai language software altogether facilitate users to communicate correctly and faster.

InVent invested Bt5mn for 30% stakes in Meditech Solution because of good business opportunity and new innovation. It is expected that the solution will be able to develop further for mobile communication assistance for paralysis patients, other medical equipment and solution, games, and other solution with eye blinking detection technology, etc.

InVent is INTOUCH’s Corporate Venture Capital for great potential Thai ICT SMEs which main objective is to enhance the partner business capabilities and competitiveness. However, INTOUCH is not interested to be a major shareholder nor engage in the day-to-day operation.

อินทัช เปดตัวโครงการ “ปลูกขาวเพ่ือสุขภาพโดยอินทัช” จังหวัดสุรินทร มุงขยายผลองคความรูการปลูก ขาวท่ีมีคุณคาทางโภชนาการโดยไมใชสารเคมีสูกลุมผูตองขังท่ีเปนเกษตรกร และชาวนาในจังหวัดสุรินทร มุงหวังพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตท่ีสอดคลองกับหลักปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง ท้ังในดานเศรษฐกิจ สังคม สุขภาพและ ส่ิงแวดลอม รวมท้ังคนไทยไดบริโภคขาวท่ีมีคุณภาพ

อินทัช เร่ิมดำเนินโครงการปลูกขาวเพ่ือสุขภาพโดยอินทัช ต้ังแตป พ.ศ. 2555 โดยไดสงเสริมใหชาวนาปลูกขาวโดยไมใชสารเคมีและเลือกใชขาวพันธุไรซเบอรร่ีในชุมชนบานดักคะนน ต.ธรรมามูล อ.เมือง จ.ชัยนาทบนพ้ืนท่ีนา 60 ไร ซ่ึงในปน้ีไดสนับสนุนองคความรูดานการบริหารจัดการทางการตลาดในพ้ืนท่ีเดิมรวมถึง สงเสริมและขยายผลความรูการปลูกขาวโดยไมใชสารเคมีไปยังพ้ืนท่ีอ่ืนอยางตอเน่ือง โดยไดรวมกับเรือนจำกลาง จ.สุรินทร ขยายพ้ืนท่ีปลูกขาวโดยไมใชสารเคมีไปยังเรือนจำช่ัวคราวโคกตาบัน อ.เมือง จ.สุรินทร บนพ้ืนท่ีนา 100 ไร เพ่ือเปนแหลงเรียนรูใหกับผูตองขังเปนทางเลือกในการใชชีวิตในสังคมภายหลังพนโทษรวมถึงกลุมชาวนา และเกษตรกรท่ีสนใจในพ้ืนท่ีใกลเคียงตอไป

นายวิชัย โชติปฏิเวชกุล ผูบัญชาการเรือนจำกลางสุรินทร กลาววา “เรือนจำช่ัวคราวโคกตาบันมีพ้ืนท่ีนาท่ียังไมไดใชประโยชนอยางเต็มท่ีอยู 200 ไร เรามีโอกาสติดตามขาวของโครงการปลูกขาวเพ่ือสุขภาพโดยอินทัช จ.ชัยนาทในปท่ีแลว ซ่ึงมีการดำเนินโครงการสอดคลองกับนโยบายของอธิบดีกรมราชทัณฑ ท่ีจะพยายามใหผูตองขังพัฒนาพฤตินิสัย เขาใจและชวยกันเร่ืองส่ิงแวดลอม ใหความสำคัญกับเร่ืองสุขภาพ ซ่ึงจะทำใหผูตองขังไดรับการยอมรับจากสังคมไดงายและเร็วข้ึน จึงไดติดตอและทำความรวมมือกับอินทัช

สวนประโยชนท่ีคาดวาจะไดรับจากการเขารวมโครงการ คือ ตองการพัฒนาใหเรือนจำเปนแหลงเรียนรูที่มีผูตองขังเปนผูอธิบายถึงกระบวนการและขั้นตอนการปลูกขาวไมวาจะเปนนักเรียน นักศึกษา ชุมชน หรือหนวยงานตางๆ ทำใหผูตองขังเห็นคุณคาในตัวเองก็สามารถนำสิ่งที่ไดเรียนรูไปประกอบอาชีพหลังจากที่พนโทษ เราพยายามจะทำโครงการน้ีใหสำเร็จเพ่ือจะสรางสรรคใหเรือนจำช่ัวคราวโคกตาบัน เปนแหลงเรียนรูเร่ืองการปลูกขาวเพ่ือสุขภาพเปนแหลงท่ีจะสามารถดูงานเร่ืองส่ิงแวดลอม เกษตรอินทรียเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงและพรอมท่ีจะขยายผลการดำเนินการไปสูชุมชนอ่ืนๆในละแวกใกลเคียงเรือนจำแหงนี้ตอไป”

Mr. Wichai Chotipativejjakul, Commander in Chief of Surin Central Prison, disclosed “The Kok Taban Temporary Prison has about 200 rai of farming area which have not been fully utilized. We had an opportunity to follow up the “Healthy Rice Growing Project by INTOUCH” in Chainart last year and found that the project was pertaining to the policy of Director General to encourage inmates to develop behaviors, understand and help improve environment and maintain health consciousness. Inmates will be accepted by community in shorter period. As a result, we contacted INTOUCH for the cooperation.

Regarding benefit from project participation, we want to develop prison to learning center and inmates to be able to explain rice growing process to students, community and variousagencies. Inmates will feel their value and bring knowledge to make living after conviction discharge. We shall try to make this project successful, turn the Kok Taban Temporary Prison to the Learning Center for Healthy Rice and the source to find materials of environment,organic agriculture and Sufficiency Economy. The project will be expanded to reach other communities near the prison in the future.”

INTOUCH unveiled the “Healthy Rice Growing Project by INTOUCH” in Surin, extending knowledge base about chemical free farming of nutritious rice to inmate farmers and farmers in Surin, aiming to develop life quality relevant to the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy in terms of economy, society, health and environment and to feed Thai people with quality rice.

INTOUCH has undergone the “Healthy Rice Growing Project by INTOUCH” since 2012. The project encourages farmers to grow rice without chemical use, selecting Riceberry rice from Ban Dak Kanon community, Tambol Thammamool, Amphoe Muang, Chainart on the 60-rai land. This year the Company extends marketing management knowledge in the same project area as well as supporting and expanding knowledge on chemical free rice farming to other areas. The Company cooperates with Surin Central Prison in expanding chemical free rice growing location to the Temporary Prison of Koktaban, Amphoe Muang, Surin on the 100 rai farm area to educate inmates as a career choice after dismissal and interested farmers in surrounding areas.

Mr. Somprasong Boonyachai, Chairman of the INTOUCH Group Executive Committee talked about the “Healthy Rice Growing Project by INTOUCH” is a project from INTOUCH that focuses on Creating Shared Value between organization and community by employing knowledge base and Company resources to executing project together with the community in order to develop life quality of farmers in terms of health, society, economy and environment and self reliance leading to community reinforcementpursuant to the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy. Inmates can adopts knowledge to make living after release. The project therefore helps return good people to community.”

สรุปผลการดำเนินงานไตรมาส 2/2556

อินทัชรายงานรายไดจากการขายและการใหบริการในไตรมาส 2/56 ลดลง เล็กนอยจากไตรมาสเดียวกันของปกอนท่ี 2,194 ลานบาท มาอยูท่ี 2,172 ลานบาท เน่ืองจากการลดลงของรายไดจากธุรกิจส่ือและโฆษณา ธุรกิจโทร คมนาคมในประเทศลาว และธุรกิจดีทีวี ในขณะท่ีรายไดจากธุรกิจดาวเทียม ยังคงเติบโตข้ึนถึงรอยละ 10.5 เม่ือเทียบกับชวงเวลาเดียวกันของปท่ีผานมา จากความตองการใชแบนดวิธท่ียังคงมีอยูอยางตอเน่ืองท้ังจากลูกคาภายในประเทศและตางประเทศ

In 2Q13, INTOUCH reported revenue from sales and service of Bt2,172mn, slightly decreased by 1% YoY from Bt2,194mn, mainly due to the decrease of revenue in media and advertising businesses, telecommunications business in Laos, and DTV business. However, the satellite business surged by 10.5% YoY thanks to higher demand both in domestic and international customers.

Consolidated operating results

สวนแบงผลกำไรจากเงินลงทุนตามวิธีสวนไดเสียซึ่งสวนใหญมาจากเอไอเอสเพ่ิมข้ึนรอยละ 5.4 จากไตรมาสเดียวกันของปกอนมาอยูท่ี 3,735 ลานบาท ในไตรมาส 2/56 เน่ืองจากการเพ่ิมข้ึนของสวนแบงผลกำไรสุทธิของเอไอเอส เปนหลัก โดยในไตรมาส 2/56 เอไอเอสสามารถทำกำไรสุทธิไวไดที่ 9,195 ลานบาทเพิ่มขึ้นรอยละ 5.5 จาก 8,713 ลานบาท ในไตรมาส 2/55 Revenue from share of profit of associated, mainly from AIS, increased by 5.4% YoY to Bt3,735mn in 2Q13 as a result of AIS’s net profit increased by 5.5% YoY to Bt9,195mn from Bt8,713mn in 2Q12.

อินทัช มีกำไรสวนท่ีเปนของเจาของของบริษัทใหญ ในไตรมาส 2/56 จำนวน3,676 ลานบาท เพ่ิมข้ึนรอยละ 6 จากไตรมาส 2/55 แตลดลงรอยละ 9 จากไตรมาส 1/56 สาเหตุของการเพ่ิมข้ึนและลดลงเน่ืองจากการเปล่ียนแปลงของสวนแบงผลกำไรจากเงินลงทุนในเอไอเอสและไทยคมเปนหลัก ซ่ึงการเปล่ียนแปลงสวนท่ีเปนของเจาของของบริษัทใหญสามารถอธิบายไดดังน้ี

• สวนแบงผลกำไรจากเอไอเอสเพ่ิมข้ึนรอยละ 5.2 เม่ือเทียบกับไตรมาส 2/55 มาอยูท่ี 3,688 ลานบาท เน่ืองจากการเพ่ิมข้ึนของรายไดจากการใหบริการขอมูลท่ีเพ่ิมข้ึนรอยละ 25 และรายไดจากการขายอุปกรณท่ีเพ่ิมข้ึนรอยละ 6 ขณะเดียวกันคาใชจายดานโครงขายเพ่ิมสูงข้ึนถึงรอยละ 27จากการขยายเครือขาย 3G-2.1GHz อยางไรก็ตามสวนแบงผลกำไรจากเอไอเอสกลับลดลงรอยละ 8.2 จากไตรมาสกอนหนาท่ี 4,019 ลานบาท เน่ืองจากรายไดจากการใหบริการลดลงจากผลกระทบของฤดูกาล รวมท้ังคาใชจายการตลาดท่ีสูงข้ึนจากการโฆษณาการใหบริการใหมบนเครือขาย 3G-2.1GHz

• สายธุรกิจดาวเทียมและธุรกิจโทรศัพทตางประเทศโดยไทยคม มีสวนแบงผลกำไรท่ี 78.3 ลานบาทเพ่ิมข้ึนรอยละ 65.5 จากไตรมาส 2/55 ท่ี 47.3 ลานบาท เน่ืองจากการเติบโตของธุรกิจดาวเทียม การบริหารตนทุนอยางมีประสิทธิภาพ ตนทุนทางการเงินท่ีลดลงและรายการขาดทุนจากการดำเนินงานท่ียกเลิกลดลง อยางไรก็ตามผลประกอบการกลับลดลงรอยละ 42.4 จากไตรมาส 1/56 ท่ี 135.9 ลานบาท เน่ืองจากผลกระทบจากคาเงินบาทท่ีออนคาลงจากไตรมาส 1/56 ท่ีผานมา

• สายธุรกิจส่ือและโฆษณา มีสวนแบงผลขาดทุน 41.3 ลานบาท ซ่ึงสวนใหญเปนผลจากการต้ังสำรองเผ่ือดอกเบ้ียของสวนตางของคาอนุญาตให ดำเนินการของไอทีวี ท้ังน้ี อินทัชรับรูสวนแบงผลขาดทุนจากไอทีวีตามสัดสวนการถือหุนท่ีรอยละ 52.92

INTOUCH had a consolidated net profit attributable to owners of the Company of Bt3,676mn, an increase of 6% YoY but decrease by 9% QoQ. The change of net profit attributable to owners of the Company was due to a higher and lower revenue contribution from AIS and THAICOM as described below

2Q13 Performance Overview

• The share of profit of AIS grew by 5.2% YoY to Bt3,688mn mainly from the continually increase of 25% YoY in non-voice revenue and 6% YoY growth in sales revenue. Meanwhile, networkoperating expense surged by 27% YoY due to 3G-2.1GHz network expansion. However, share of profit of AIS decreased by 8.2% QoQ from Bt4,019mn due to seasonality impact and higher marketing expense for new network promotion.

• Satellite and international businesses operated by THAICOM contributed net profit of Bt78.3mn, surged by 65.5% YoY from Bt47.3mn thanks to the growth of satellite business, the cost control efficiency, a decrease in finance cost, and a decrease in loss from discontinued operation. However, the contribution from THAICOM declined from Bt135.9mn or 42.4% QoQ due to a loss on foreign exchange in 2Q13 while it was gain in 1Q13.

• The media and advertising reported a loss of Bt41.3mn, mainly arising from ITV provision for interest on unpaid operating agreement fees. The Company recognized 52.92% of ITV’s loss, representing its investment portion.

INTOUCH announced interim dividend of Bt2.37per ShareOn 13 August 2013, the Board of Director of the Company passed a resolution to pay an interim dividend from operational result of 29 March to 12 August 2013 at Bt2.37 per share, in total of Bt7,599mn. The Company scheduled to pay this dividendon 10 September 2013.

การขยายโครงข�าย 3G-2.1GHz เร็วกว�าแผนงานที่วางไว�บริการ 3G บนคลื่น 2.1GHz (3G-2.1GHz) ของเอไอเอสซึ่งเปดตัวในเดือนพฤษภาคมที่ผานมาไดรับการตอบรับจากลูกคาเปนอยางดี โดยณ สิ้นไตรมาส 2/56 มีผูใชบริการแลวกวา 3.9 ลานเลขหมายหรือคิดเปนประมาณ 10% ของฐานลูกคาของเอไอเอสทั้งหมด โดยลูกคาสามารถใชโครงขาย 3G-2.1GHz ไดแลวใน 56 จังหวัด และ เอไอเอสไดเรงขยายโครงขาย 3G ใหมอยางตอเนื่อง โดยคาดวาจะเปดใหบริการ ในพื้นที่ตัวเมืองไดครบทุกจังหวัดภายในสิ้นปนี้

3G-2.1GHz network expansion is ahead of scheduleThe new AIS 3G-2.1GHz was officially launched in May 2013 with a positive response from customers. With the new 3G-2.1GHz network now available in 56 key provinces, over 3.9 million subscribers or 10% of total subscribers have registered as of 2Q13. AIS are currently accelerating the new network roll-out and expect our 3G-2.1GHz service to be available in all urban areas nationwide within this year.

ดาวเทียมไทยคม 6ดาวเทียมไทยคม 6 ไดผานข้ันตอน Pre-Shipment Review เรียบรอยแลวและเตรียมสงดาวเทียมไปยังฐานยิงจรวดขนสงดาวเทียมโดยคาดวาจะสามารถสงดาวเทียมไทยคม 6 ขึ้นสูวงโคจรในชวงปลายไตรมาส 4 ของปนี้และจากความตองการใชบริการดาวเทียมของผูประกอบการโทรทัศน ผานดาวเทียมที่เติบโตขึ้นอยางตอเนื่องทำใหมีการเซ็นสัญญาจองใชชองสัญญาณบนดาวเทียมไทยคม 6 แลวประมาณ 66% ของจำนวนชอง สัญญาณทั้งหมด

Thaicom 6The Thaicom 6 project completed Pre-Shipment Review, and will be shipped to the launch site. Thaicom 6’s launch schedule will be in the fourth quarter of this year. The demand for commercial satellite services from broadcasting satellite operators continues to be strong and growing. Currently, 66% of Thaicom 6’s total transponders have been reserved.
