North Central Region Priorities (Unranked)

• Pre-emergent herbicide crop safety• Ornamental grasses herbicide crop safety• Dormant post-emergent crop safety• Phytophthora and Pythium• Greenhouse thrips and whiteflies

l

Northeast Region Priorities (Unranked)• Foliar nematodes ***• Bacteria: Xanthomonas on Begonias• Botrytis: look at products for resistance management• Downy Mildew• Fusarium• Foliar Beetles• Thrips (especially new S. dorsalis biotype)• Borers – ambrosia beetles• Expanding the label for pyrifluxypyrin (sp?) for scale• In season pre-emergent herbicide crop safety (additional

Sedum sp)• Control of yellow nutsedge

l

Southern Region Priorities (Ranked)

• Parasitic Algae• Ambrosia beetles (but there is a lack of

products)• Ornamental grasses (add 2 new species)

l

Western Region Priorities (Ranked)• Early pre-emergent weeds in field and

container grown ornamentals• Botrytis foliar and shoot disease in Abies sp.

and Tsuga sp., also in greenhouse grown bedding plants such as Geraniums and Begonias.

• Fusarium basal rot in cut flower bulb crops• Thrips (outdoor registrations) in all

ornamental crops
