She is my dad’s sister. I have a cousin there as well. His name is

Ayaan. I love going to Dubai as there are lots of fun places to go to.

There are lots of beaches there. What I love the most about Dubai is

What would you like to do in the

summer?

If I could go anywhere in the

summer I would like to go to

Florida because it’s really warm

and sunny there. The resorts

where I want to stay will have a

big swimming pool and many

other fun activities. Finally, there

are nice beaches, Disneyland,

and Universal Studio which are all

fun to visit.

Back To School

My favorite part about going back to school is that I

will meet my best friends Taj, Akbar, and Faiz. The

best part about going back to school is all the

occasions like the Iqra Food Festival. This school is

one of the top 10 in GTA. I love this school and I am

never going to leave until I graduate.

Muzammil Khan, Grade 3

Why am I excited going to Grade 4?

It’s a new school year with so many things-new school, classmates, books, supplies, teachers, and class. It’s a fresh start to discover yourself. For me, one of the most exciting reasons of starting a new year is meeting new people. The first few weeks are an exciting time to meet new people, hear new stories and maybe make new friends.

My Favorite Part About Going Back To School

My favorite part about going back to school is

school shopping. Shopping includes buying school

uniform, school supplies, school bag, lunch box, and

some shoes. I went to many stores like Staples,

Walmart, Dollarama, Dollar Store, Chapters and

many more. I enjoy school shopping. It was easy to

get all the school supplies, but buying school

uniform was a struggle. I went to Old Navy,

Walmart, and Square One to get the school uniform.

All the shopping made me hungry

so my parents took me to the food court. After

eating I continued shopping. I was so tired that I

wanted to go to sleep. My parents d id the rest of the

shopping.

The Significance of the First month in the Islamic Year

Muharram, the first month in the Islamic Calendar is a month of

great importance. Muharram means “forbidden” and is one of the

sacred months in the Islamic year. It’s also sunnah to fast on

Ashura, which is the tenth of Muharram. If you fast, you should fast

on 9 and 10 or 10 and 11.It’s good to fast in Muharram as said in

the hadith translated by Imam Al-Muslim: “The best of fasts

besides the month of Ramadan is the fasting of the month of

Muharram.”

What are your goals for Grade 8 ?

Every year I have a goal where I can

improve. For this year my goal is to focus

on academics, participate in activities and

focus on art.

I need to focus on my studies so I can get

into a proper high school and also get

many awards. Participating in activities

that are happening in school would build

my confidence level.

These are some goals to improve myself

in this grade 8 year and hope I can

achieve them.

What I am scared about my new school year

Assalam-o-Alaikum, my name is Muhammad Cheema. I’m 9 years old. I’m scared of my new

school year because I’m bad at English, Spelling tests, and also French. They speak French

during the French period instead of English. My French spelling test is getting harder and

harder. I want to win everything this year, but I know it is going to be difficult. I will work hard

and try to win all the awards and overcome my shortcomings.
