The Situation

• The Internet Must Keep Growing• More people

7+ billion people in the world• More devices

10+ billion connected devices• More network-reliant applications and services

Supporting sensor nets and concepts like “smart grids”

• IPv6 is the Answer• IPv4 is insufficient

IPv4 has 4 billion addresses; IPv6 has 340 undecillion• IPv4 is pricey

Gray markets, carrier grade NATs (CGNs) are expensive• IPv6 is ready and waiting

Why IPv6 Matters – For the Internet and Your BusinessIPv6 is becoming the predominant networking protocol for new devices and services.

-Continued Internet Growth. Global addressing allows end-to-end connectivity so all users can reach all other users.

-Maintaining Profitability.Maintaining expensive NATs and workarounds to extend IPv4 will eat away at your bottom line, compared to deploying IPv6 now.

-Customer Service.More and more devices that use IPv6 will be connecting to your sites and services.
