Infrastruture• CHC should have

• 30 indoor beds• 1 Operation theatre• 1 labour room• X-ray facility and laboratory facility• Transport facilities

• The centre should be located at the centre of the block head quarter in order to improve access to the patients. (This may be applicable only to centers that are to be newly established.

• Common entrance zone with registration facility and patients waiting hall.

• OPD Zone– Separate OPD rooms for different

specialists for OPD.– 1 minor OT– Injection / dressing room– Observation room– One pharmacy including AYUSH drugs

• Emergency area– 1 room for doctors– 1 room for minor OT– 1 for plaster/dressing – 1 for patient observation (At least 4 beds)

• Critical care zone– 1 labour room– Newborn care corner– 1 Operation theater

• Residential Zone– Minimum 8 quarters for Doctors.– Minimum 8 quarters for staff nurses/

paramedical staff.– Minimum 2 quarters for ward boys.– Minimum 1 quarter for driver
