Adding Meeting to the IPedge Demo Kit

Win more sells by adding Meeting to your IPedge Demo Kit today. You will be able to demonstrate Toshiba’s Meeting web-based conferencing tool providing dial-in audio conferencing with scheduling, usage reporting, and more. Already included are two web and video licenses at no extra charge. Follow the procedures below to activate Meeting on your demo kit. Contact the Sales Applications Desk (949) 583-3354 with any questions.

Upgrade toRelease 1.5 orhigher Update

Software

The R1.5 software is available for download on the Toshiba FYI web site.

1. Login to the Toshiba FYI web site.

2. Navigate to IPedge > Software.

Note: Your system must be running igs-gcp version 1.0.59, 1.1.15, or 1.1.204 for an upgrade to software release 1.3.1 or higher directly. For systems with earlier software contact Toshiba Technical Support.

System SoftwareUpgrade

For detailed upgrade instructions refer to the Program Update Procedure in the Maintenance chapter of the IPedge Installation manual, available on the Toshiba FYI web site. After the IPedge software has been updated to R1.x a database synchronization is required.

Upload the SoftwareUpdate

Important! The update files must be loaded in the following order:

1. Components

2. Media-libraries

3. IPT firmware

Execute the SoftwareUpdate

1. After the software update, login to Enterprise Manager on the Primary server.

2. Execute Database Synchronization.

3. When the database synchronization is complete the upgrade for this server is complete.

4. Repeat this procedure for each member server in this enterprise.

Issuing Meetinglicenses

Toshiba has generated two Meeting Web and Video licenses to all IPedge Demo Kits. If you have any problems with the license activation, please contact the Sales Application Desk (949) 583-3354.

Important! IPedge EP must be on release 1.3.1 or higher before issuing the license.

1. Login to the Toshiba FYI web site.

2. Navigate to License Codes > Inquiries.

3. Enter in the serial number of the demo kit and click submit.

4. Locate the license summary at the bottom of the page to verify I-MT-DEMOWV has been applied to your license container file (as shown below). If you do not see I-MT-DEMOWV, please contact Sales Applications Desk at (714) 932-3354.

5. Chick on Download License File.

6. Save the license container file to your computer or thumb drive.

7. Open your web browser and enter the address http://192.168.254.250:8080/oamp

8. Enter in “Administrator” as username and “password” as password.

9. Select Maintenance > Licensing > License Control.

10. Click on the Upload License file icon.

11. Enter the location and name of the license file or click on the Browse button to locate the license file.

12. Click on OK.

13. Click to check-mark the uploaded file then, click on the Apply icon.

14. Reboot the IPedge server after applying licenses. Reboot can take several minutes.

Setting up Meeting

Assigning Hostname Note: Many of the settings in this step were assigned during initial installation of the IPedge system. Therefore, please verify the settings are compatible with the requirements for the Meeting application.

1. Login to Enterprise Manager, select Applications > Webmin.

2. In Webmin, select Networking > Network Configuration then;

Select Hostname and DNS Client.

Ensure that the Search Listed radio button is selected.

Enter the Hostname - This is the host name you assigned to the IPedge System during installation.

3. In the Search Domains box add ipedge.local under localhost.

4. Click the Save button.

5. Select Networking > Network Configuration. Click on Host Addresses.

CAUTION! IP Address 127.0.0.1 is the localhost address for the IPedge system. DO NOT edit this entry. If this entry is changed, edited or deleted the system may become inoperable and require the IPedge to be re-imaged.

6. Click on Add a New Host Name.

7. Enter the IP address of the IPedge EP server and hostnames admin.ipedge.local and webconf.ipedge.local.

Note: The admin and webconf host addresses must be entered in the order shown below. Any other host names or DNS entries must be entered below these.

8. Click on the Save button.

9. On the Netbook explore C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc. Double click on Host file and open with Notepad. Modify as shown in the image below.

10. When done modifying, click File and then Save.

Restore NewIPedge Demo KitModel Database

Note: If you do not want to restore the latest IPedge Demo Kit Model Database you have the option to manually setup meeting on the IPedge Demo Kit by following Web Knowledgebase Article #3107.

This process copies the IPedge Demo Kit database from your storage location to a directory on the IPedge server.

1. Download IPedge Demo Kit database from FYI > Sales > IPedge Demo Kit

2. Login to Enterprise Manager. Select Application > Webmin.

3. In the Webmin screen, select Others. Click on Upload and Download.

4. In the Upload to Server tab click on the Browse... button next to the “File to upload” field. Navigate to the backup file (name of file.ZIP).

5. Check-mark the box to the right of the “File or directory to upload to.” field. This will create a directory if needed.

6. Enter a folder name.

7. Ensure the following:

Owned by user = root

Owned by group = Default

Extract ZIP or TAR files? = No

Send email when uploads are done? = No

8. Click Upload.

9. When the upload is complete, highlight the file name (directory name\name of file.zip) and copy (keyboard command: Ctrl + C).

This process restores the IPedge server.

Important! The licenses for the server database that you are about to restore must be applied before you restore the database.

1. Login to Enterprise Manager. Select Application > Webmin.

2. In the Webmin screen select IPedge > Backup and Restore. Click on the Restore icon.

3. In the Restore from Files tab select the server to restore.

4. Paste the file name (directory name\name of file.zip) into the Restore from remote directory, tar, or zip file box.

5. Click on Restore Now.

6. Webmin will show the message ... Done restoring when the restore is complete.

Upload Toshiba MeetingHeader Logo

1. Download IPedge Demo Kit Meeting Header Logo from FYI> Sales> IPedge Demo Kit

2. Login to Enterprise Manager. Select Application > Meeting

3. In the Meeting home window select System Configuration

4. Click Browse next to Upload New Logo.

5. Navigate to the IPedge Meeting Header Logo file.

6. Click Submit.
