For Full Page ads, please supply two JPEG files with a maximum file size of 300kb each; a portrait version at 768 x 960 pixels and a landscape version at 1024 x 704 pixels. For static ads, one URL link can be submitted. Tapping anywhere on the base image will open a popover webview to the click-through link.
The lead time for these ads is three clear working days. i.e. if the ad is to appear in Friday’s edition, we would need the assets on Monday.
For Interactive ads, hotspots may be defined which trigger interactivity encompassing popovers*, URL links and video. We recommend hotspots be at least fifty pixels square, be positioned at least fifty pixels apart from each other and that no more than five hotspots be used on any one ad. There is a Hotspot Clear Zone at the top 105 pixels of the screen. Hotspots must not be placed within this zone as they won’t work because this area is reserved by the app for navigation.
* A popover is defined as a second image overlaid on the base image. This second image may be full-screen or smaller.
The lead time for interactive ads is five clear working days. i.e. if the ad is to appear in Friday’s edition, we would need the assets on the Thursday of the previous week.
Video is streamed from a third party server at an optimised adjustable bitrate. it can be viewed in both portrait and landscape orientations and can be expanded to full screen width. Video should be supplied at either 640x360 pixels or 640x480 pixels. Acceptable formats are WMV, MOV, and MP4.
We recommend that videos are no longer than 30 seconds long and insist on a maximum length of 60 seconds. Video play is user initiated.
