IP UtiliNET’s Facial Recognition technology captures

real-time multidimensional facial recognition of a

subject’s face where rigid tissue and bone is most

apparent, such as the curves of the eye socket, nose

and chin for identification. These areas are all

unique and do not change over time. Images are

captured in a range of positions and converted into

binary data, which results in significant storage and

computer processing capability.

Multidemensional Facial Biometrics from IP UtiliNET

prevent the use of photographs and masks which has

been a recognized issue with systems of the past.

The system measures and creates a face template

using unique Fusitronic algorithms (step-by-step

procedures). It translates the template into a unique

code that gives each template a set of numbers to

represent the features on a subject’s face. Each

image and unique code is stored in a secure database.

Facial Recognition Overview

In the past, face recognition technology relied on a

2D image to compare or identify another 2D image

from a database. Offering little more than a

photograph, the image is subject to variances in light,

facial expression, angle of the face to the camera and

a variety of other factors. 2D comparisons replicate

visual and photographic image recognition and rely

upon complex image comparison algorithms that are

simply not accurate.

3D images compound the image comparison by adding

more image data and requiring more complex and

powerful computer systems that produce similar

lackluster results. IP UtiliNET Entry Management

Systems simplify the visual image recognition

problems with Fusitronic pattern matching Boolean

(numeric) algorithms that reduce storage

requirements, speed complex searches, and take

advantage of today’s compute technologies without

trying to match the Fusiform image matching function

of the Human Brain. Establishing Facial DNA, we store

up to 150 unique views with an average total storage

consumption of only 8K per individual.

Face recognition has a number of advantages over

other biometrics currently in use. It is non-intrusive

since it does not require a subject’s co-operation and

awareness in order to perform an identification or

verification, such as looking into an eye scanner or

placing their hand on a fingerprint reader. The

biometric data used to perform verification is also in

a format that is readable and understood by humans

for back up or alert purposes.

Command Pointtm enrollment is a

configurable system that complements

existing security processes, Command Point

Enrollment is ideal for facial and multimodal

biometrics. Offered as an appliance or a

licensed software package, Command Point

Enrollment helps the security staff to

implement identity management best

practices and can be customized to meet

individual access, authority, and

identification needs.

Command Pointtm Management is a console

that centrally administers Veri Pointtm and

Mobi Pointtm appliances, it also provides a

video monitoring and annunciation station.

Additional features include user

registration, access scheduling, system

configuration, alarm selection, event

viewing and recording and more.

The Command Pointtm Management console

displays up to 16 door locations per page,

providing live video where required. Up to

16 separate monitoring pages (door groups)

may be configured and selected for display.

When customers choose to expand, IP

UtiliNET designs / builds command and

control centers that complement the

LANvisn™ switchless network.

Event alarms from any Veri Pointtm access
