What do you do, if you don’t have a car and don’t want to be bodyboarding 24/7? Well, during that ‚carless time‘ Kyron added skateboarding to his main activities to stay sane. But a lot of injuries in the skatepark and finaly a drivers license ended this unspectacular time and opend the door to surfspots like Pedra Branca. Some years later, Kyron still makes sure that his adrenalin doesn‘t drop to an average level.

If you google his name, it only takes 2 clicks to find videos of him ripping off the house high slab wave shippsterns bluff on a bodyboard or a SUP. Read the articles or posts beneath the footage and you’ll very soon realize that their editors struggle to find new synonyms for the word „insanity“! Kyron is a showoff for the classical core surfer mate. The type of unbreakable surfer which kicks the shit out of every wave despite any conditions or whipe outs always having a good mood and joking around. (Favourite Song: Happy Birthday – „cause it always ends with a cake“). A Guy who stands at the beach after he landed on his face in a whipe out, representing pantomimic the impact, just to run into the water again because the waves are looking so „fluffy“

Born in the northern town of Burnie, his father, who was a surfer himself, would take little kyron during the holidays camping at the beach where they would surf, fish or burn random stuff befor going to bed. As he got older, he still loves crashing things, for example partys: „I cut shapes on a dance floor like a handicapped version of michael jackson, the floor clears when i put my dancing shoes on! People run screaming for the hills...Hahahaha“

To put it in a nutshell, his profession matches his actions and his self-destructive surf style. If he hadn’t become a pro surfer, rockstar would have been his second choice. He may not be a Hendrix double on the guitar and he’s not able to sing but his on-stage performance would have compensated that. (He is practicing with hits like Bon Jovie‘s – Bad medicine, everytime there is a karaoke machine nearby)

At the moment, Kyron is living with his girlfriend in Tasmania, as well as in the Philippines where he enjoys the fresh food, painting clocklike (at intervals of one year) and the simplicity of life. At the office we‘ re still discussing wether or not, the large number of tubes at the Philippines may also have been a reason to move there.

I bet we’re about to get something big from kyron again soon. Does anyone ever surfed nazaré with a kneeboard ?
