The green hart in the context of Rotterdam, the Hague, Utrecht and Amsterdam.!

!The three goals:!

- 100 hectare addition of new green and water connections between Ackerdijkse Plassen and the Vlaardingse vliet*. !

- 250 hectare of heavy duty agricultural nature management, as close to the first 100 hectare as possible to allow meadow birds to live in a bigger natural area.!

- Eco passages, so that the huge variety of animals can life in a bigger natural area, making it even possible for them to journey to the green hart of the Netherlands.!

The Eco passage for Schiedam will go undergo the tender process in 2014 and the Eco passage for Delft has just been planned.!

- The Midden-Delfland is a beautiful area with allot of potential for recreation, the accessibility has limited the amount of users. Midden-Delfland is located very close to cities like Delft, the Hague and Rotterdam. !

- Goal of this project is to make the area more accessible and attractive.!

- The recreative route structure project will be responsible to make the area more attractive for horseback riders, skateboarders, kano routes, mountain bike riders, par course bikers and walking pads for nature fanatics. !

- The municipalities of Schiedam, Vlaardingen and Midden-Delfland have already agreed of adding asphalt to the existing pads.!

- Vlaardingen just realised a MTB-par course in the Broekpolder as part of the initiative.
