Duero Basin Authority (CHD) and Dam Removal Europe (DRE) partners invite you to join the second DRE workshop next 14th and 15th of November of 2016 in Leon city, Spain. This is a unique opportunity, for those dealing now or in the near future with dam removal issues, to learn how to handle these delicate projects, especially from a social perspective. Our special guest Josh Royte from the Nature Conservancy (USA) will highlight the experiences from one of the biggest dam removal projects in the world: the Penobscot River project. We will furthermore discuss practical dam removal experiences, inspiring case examples and future challenges in Europe. See below for more information on the program. On the second day we have arranged a special field visit to sites where dams are currently being removed or will be removed in the Douro River. We have a total capacity of maximum 100 persons. The workshop will have a €55,- attendance fee to cover lunch of the first day and the bus for the fieldtrip on the second day.
