The city of GoianiaThe host city Goiania is a mere 80 years old town but is acknowledged in Brazil for its high quality of life being perhaps the Brazilian capital with the largest green area in the country. Goiania is also greatly appreciated for the hospitality of local people. It enjoys the privilege of being close to the nation’s capital Brasilia and also close to historic cities from the days the interior land of Brazil was being explored for precious stone and gold. The city position allows short day trips to its neighboring cities and certainly adds up to its attraction. The Organizing Committee works closely with the Goiania Convention and Visitors Bureau in order to make sure all participants will be made aware of all possibilities to enjoy the region, before or after the event.

VenueThe event will be held at the Goiania Convention Center that has an excel-lent infrastructure to hold events of this magnitude. It is located at the city center with ease access to the main areas of the city as well as to the main hotels and to the local airport. There are 51000 m2 of constructed area capable of hosting exhibition and simultaneous events, restaurants and parking space.

Symposium OrganizationThe event will be developed in parallel sessions covering the themes of the symposium. Pre-symposium short courses and workshops are planned on current subjects. Keynote lectures will be delivered during the technical sessions and an exhibition parallel to the sessions will be organized.

Access to GoianiaGoiania is located in the Central High Plains of Brazil, 200 kms from the Brasilia. It can be reached by plane from Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Brasilia.
