    arts as a means to empower and

    cultivate individual and community

    relevance to mainstream America with

    programs that include: Festival ofPhilippine Arts and Culture (FPAC),

    Pilipino Artists Network (PAN),

    Eskuwela Kultura (EK), Buy Pinoy

    and SAYSAY.

    True to its relevance to the community,FilAm ARTS reaches out to the Filipino

    homeland and lends its support to the

    devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan

    in the Visayan region of the Philippines.

    The Missionary Benedictine Sisters ofSt. Scholasticas College in Tacloban,

    Leyte is the beneficiary of Hope After

    Haiyan Benefit Dinner.

    THE MISSIONARY

    Ora et Labora (Prayer and Work) is the guiding monastic

    rule of the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of the Philippines.

    Belonging to an international congregation, founded in

    1885 in Germany, and coming to the Philippines in 1906,

    the Benedictine Sisters remain devoted to the calling of

    education and health care, operating eleven schools andone hospital in the Philippine provinces.

    of the following suggested funding programs.

    1. Midwifery Skills Laboratory - $25,000

    2. Research Community Extension Laboratory -$35,000

    3. Pharmacy Training Laboratories - $145,000

    4. Nursing Arts Laboratory and Amphitheater - $60,000

    5. Medical Laboratory Science Training - $245,000
