KENYA POWER DISTRIBUTION LAST MILE CONNECTIVITY PROJECT Credit No: CKE 1106 01 F & CKE 1106 02 GContract Title: Procurement of Single Phase Pre-paid Meters and Miniature Circuit Breakers for the Last Mile Connectivity Project - Reference No.KP1/6E.3/PT/2/18/A65

1. The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received credit from the Agence Francaise De Developpe-ment (AFD) towards the cost of the Kenya Power Distribution Last Mile Connectivity Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this credit will be applied to eligible payments under the contracts.

2. The Kenya Power & Lighting Company Limited now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the above as detailed below:

3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the Agencie Francaise de Development’s Guidelines: Procurement Guidelines for AFD-Financed Contracts in Foreign Countries, published by the Bank in February 2017 and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from The Kenya Power & Lighting Company Limited and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 0900 to 1600 hours, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays.

6. Qualifications requirements; Refer to Section III of the bidding document.

7. Completed Bids are to be saved as PDF documents marked “Procurement of Single Phase Pre-paid Meters and Miniature Circuit Breakers for the Last Mile Connectivity Project (AFD Funded) KP1/6E.3/PT/2/18/A65” and submitted in the appropriate KPLC E-procurement Web Portal found on the KPLC website www.kplc.co.ke so as to be received on or before 19th June 2018 at 10.00 a.m. (Note: This is a Cen-tral Office Tender; submissions should STRICTLY be done to Central Office KPLC E-procurement portal).

8. Bids will be opened electronically promptly after closing time and Bidders or their representatives are welcome to witness the opening at the Stima Plaza Auditorium.

9. All bids MUST be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than the indicated amount or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
