Co-products

In addition to tin, Cinovec contains significant lithium and tungsten, with potential for other alkali and REE metals Tungsten • Tungsten inferred resource is estimated at 11,200 tonnes • Tungsten has been declared as critical metal for Europe by the EU Commission in 2010 • Demand reached a record of 70,051t W in 2010, price at $56000/t • Tungsten is used is cemented carbides, alloy steels, fabricated tungsten products, tungsten alloys and

chemicals Lithium • Lithium inferred resource is estimated between 50,760 tonnes (cut-off 0.4%Li) and 374,080 tonnes

(cut-off 0.2%Li) • Lithium world production in 2012 was circa 37,000 tonnes • Lithium minerals can easily be separated by electromagnets and/or flotation into lithium concentrate • Lithium carbonate of high quality was produced from the Cinovec mica concentrate. Lithium carbonate

is used for battery manufacturing • Current lithium carbonate price is $5,500/t (lithium is about 6 times the price of copper) • Lithium is used among other in ceramic and glass, batteries, lubricating greases • Asian technology firms continue to form alliances with lithium explorers worldwide • European demand is high and German manufacturers interested in lithium sources located in Europe.

• Small scale historical mining since the 16th Century • Approximately 4 tonnes of tin produced at grades in excess of 1% • 76 surface and underground diamond drill holes (more than 12,000m)

completed by the State from 1959-1973 • Two mineralised horizons identified – the Main and Hugo zones • The Main Zone has a known areal extent of 2sq km, is 3m thick, located

approximately 50m below surface

• Forecast to reach 400,000 tonnes by 2015 • Major producer are Indonesia (Timah PT –

30,000t), China (Yuannan Tin - 27,000t) and Peru (Minsur – 25,000t) expected to be exhausted by 2017

• ITRI forecasts 70,000 tonnes deficit and tin prices at >$35,000/t by 2015

• Current price is approximately $23,000/t • Tin is increasingly used in high tech industries

for nano-technologies, as lead free solder, for battery, agri-chemicals, solar technology and steel applications
