Earlier activities regarding business zones (1)• RS Government adopted the "Action Plan supporting the
development of business zones in the Republic of Srpska for the period 2009-2013“
• Finished zone mapping in RS (56 sites of RS)• "Steps in establishing business zones“ - Guide for the
municipalities • Trainings for municipalities were held regarding the
development and establishment of business zones (cooperation with German GIZ)

• In 2008, the Ministry nominated a project: ”EU support for establishing and strengthening of business infrastructure to improve the competitiveness of SMEs ”for financing from IPA 2009.
• Project will provide 10 feasibility studies for business zones in BiH • In the RS support was given to the following zones: Business Zone
Aleksandrovac - Laktaši, Zona Lanara - Teslić and Zone Vranjes - East New Sarajevo for feasibility studies and Business zone Banja Luka and Industrial Zone in Bijeljina for the development of investment plans.

Earlier activities regarding business zones (3)• In 2011 the RS Government supported 12 municipalities
with 151.000 KM for co-financing the making of project documentation in business zones.
• In 2013 RS Assembly adopted SME development law in which is determined definition and financial incentives for zones the conditions and methods of establishing a business zone
• In 2014 Ministry adopted Rules about conditions and methods of establishing a business zone

(according to the degree of development) • Support to municipalities regarding perspective zones• Investment promotion (www.investsrpska.net , municipality
