The Ministry of Information and Technology estimates China's IoT market will hit 500 billion yuan ($80.3 billion) by 2015, then double to 1 trillion yuan ($166 billion) by 2020.” EU Push on the next wave of Internet By Gérald Santucci (Head of Unit at European Commission) „At EU level we invested some 100 m euros over 5 years on IoT. But if we consider that EU money invested in neighbouring technologies I would estimate the relevant overall investment by EU at 180 m euros. I would put the overall IoT investment in Europe, both private and public, at 800 million euros per year.“
