20 – 30 minutes for class work task.

Unfinished work may be continued at home.

Home Work Moderate amount (year 5 policy).

Studying and reading are part of the hw tasks.

Supervise home work.

Helping with difficulties without spoon feeding.

Checking if all home work is done.

Date, titles and page numbers should be included.

Late hw will be noted and a note is sent when the

behaviour is repeated for the third time.

Correction

Correction must be done.

Studying

Students must study the notes daily.

Tests will be given to check understanding

of the topics covered.

Reading

Students should read every day for at

least 30 minutes.

They should fill in the reading log every

time they read a book.

Library homework.

Compositions

As a classwork / homework task.

½ mark is deducted with every

orthography mistake.

Times tables should be known by heart!

This is extremely important since they will

be used in many topics.

20% field work- Marsaxlokk (half yearly

exam)

Absentees

Hw and notes will be given when students

return back to school.

If the student is absent for 1 or 2 days,

please send a written note in an envelope.

If the student is absent for 3 or more days

please bring a medical certificate.

School Outings

Small bag containing lunch.

Do not give children large amounts of

sweets.

As a school we are not responsible for

cameras.

Other information

Make sure bottles are fastened properly

Students should bring 2 bottles of water

when they have a P.E lesson.

Healthy food should be given for lunch.
