We are studying God’s Plan for our financial
welfare, as well as our spiritual blessings.
Philippians 4 19 But my God shall supply all your
need according to His riches in glory by Christ
Jesus.
Need = necessity and employment
Strong’s Greek Dictionary
God will fulfill His
Promises, as we obey His
Word.Picking up where we left off last week.

How do you look at the money and other forms of
wealth that come into your hands?
Is it yours? You earned it; it’s all yours.
Is 10% God's and the rest yours?
Or is it all God's and it’s been put in your trust
for a short time?
Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord's and the fullness
thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.
4
Not only is it all God's, you belong to Him too.
He bought and paid for us with the
Blood of Jesus Christ, His only son.
1 Corinthians 6 19-20 What? know ye not that your
body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in
you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your
own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore
glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which
are God's.
5
Job 41:11 NIV Who has a claim against Me that I
must pay? Everything under Heaven belongs to
Me.
Rom 11:35-36 NIV "Who has ever given to God
that God should repay him? For from Him and
through Him and to Him are all things.
Everything that comes into our
possession belongs to God;
We are obligated to God to use it wisely
and well for Him.
6
If we love God with all our
heart, mind, soul, body, and strength, that attitude
will come easy. The attitude that all things belong to God, and we
are obligated to use His Provision wisely and well.
But if we love the world and the things of the
world, we will find ourselves resisting this Truth:
All things belong to God, and He entrusts
us with a portion to use for the benefit of
His Kingdom.
7
Money -- our attitude toward it, our handling of it:
Is the best outside indicator of our
inside condition with God.
How much we really love God!
Do you know that whether you have wealth or
live in poverty is totally in God‘s hands?
8
But -- His decision concerning wealth will rely on
our attitude and actions;
Things like:
Willing obedience or stubborn disobedience
to the Word.
Our attitude toward God and the world.
Our attitude about wealth; is it according
to the Word of God.
9
But it is all up to God.
I Sam 2:7 The Lord maketh poor and maketh rich:
He bringeth low, and lifteth up.
I reiterate: It is up to God, but His decision will
depend on our attitude and actions.
10
God gave Solomon a dream and told him that he
could have anything he wanted.
Solomon asked for wisdom and judgment
to be king of Israel.
God gave Solomon the wisdom and
judgment that he asked for -- and
God also made Solomon rich and
gave him much honor.
But His decision to do so was based on Solomon's
heart attitude, which God saw in Solomon's request.
11
John 15 7 If ye abide in Me, and My Words abide in
you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done
unto you.
God has given us the same opportunity:
What will you desire and ask God for?
Do you desire a comfortable living in this world?
Seek first the Kingdom of God and His
righteousness, and all these things will be
added to your life. Matthew 6:33
12
Psalm 127:2 New American Standard It is vain for
you to rise up early, to retire late, to eat the bread
of painful labors; for He gives to His beloved even
in his sleep.
You can work yourself to the bone.
You can strive and sweat to have more;
And you may gain wealth.
But it will come better if you will do it
God's way and let Him bless you with it.
Trying to get it ourselves.
13
Prov 10:22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh
rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.
If you strive for it, you may get it; But you
may wish you didn't have it.
What are we talking about here?
We are talking about our attitude toward
money, which indicates our attitude toward God.
14
Attitudes of pride and greed will
cause God to bring us low;
But an attitude of humility and generosity
will cause God to exalt us.
With God, it is not only what you
do, but even more, why you do it.
15
Luke 10:27 Jesus said, " 'Love the Lord your God
with all your heart and with all your soul and with
all your strength and with all your mind';
and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
If we truly do love God with all our
heart, soul, strength, and mind;
And we truly do love our neighbor as ourself:
Then handling our finances according to
Scripture will be an easy thing to do.
16
But, if we love the world and the
things that are in the world
We will find that it is a struggle to obey many of
the Scriptures concerning finance.
We will constantly be asking "why?" about every
Principle which God has given us to live by.
Very often doing right will cost you in the short
run, and we don't see the long run very clearly.
We have to trust God to see the future.
17
This is not a subject that is left vague
and hard to understand.
I'll show you Scripture by Scripture exactly how
God wants you to handle your finances.
This road of righteousness is so clear that a
wayfaring man though a fool need not err. Isa 35:8
