What happens in Y9 music lessonsYou will be:

Performing – keyboard, vocal, instrumental work Composing – make up your own music on your own or in groups Listening – studying music theory and history: after Christmas we will look at pop

music from the 1950s to the 1970s

What happens after Y9You could:

Go on to do a BTEC and GCSE Music, continuing with your performing and composing and studying music for film, dance, special occasions, pop music from 1960 to the present and orchestral music

Or drop music as a school subject

Opportunities outside music lessonsYou could:

Join the orchestra, Mondays, 3.30-4.30, any standard, no audition Join the vocal workshop, Tuesdays, 3.30-4.30, any standard, no audition Take part in the production, Talent Show, even start your own group Take part in the Y9 showcase
