Local Policy Context

• 18th March 2008 PUSH partner Authorities signed up to the PUSH Sustainability Common Policy Framework

• Local Development Frameworks within the PUSH area should include policies to deliver the following:

All residential development

achieves at least the following

level (Star rating) of the Code for

Sustainable Homes

All multi-residential and nonresidential

developments with a floor space of over 500 m2 must

achieve at least the following

BREEAM standards

Until the

end of 20113 BREEAM ‘very good’

from 2012 4 BREEAM ‘excellent’

from 2016 6 BREEAM ‘excellent’
