One SWITCH or ROUTER can segment up your network and create multiple VIRTUAL networks.
Share one cable to transmit many network segments.
Requires – Managed Switch and/or Router with VLAN support

SCENARIOVenue wants to upgrade their performance network to provide the following.- Remote control of Lighting Console- Implement an Audio DSP with computer application
for monitoring/setup- Remote control of Audio Console - Internet access for visiting clients

WHY?- Security – Traffic doesn’t cross over VLANs unless
we allow it to- Physical Infrastructure (Tie Lines) – Reduce number
of tie lines between rooms by implementing a network back bone
