n With regard to the TDM services, the backplane is connected to the cross-connect board, thus implementing the 1+1 HSB protection through the dual-fed and selective-receiving of the cross-connection.
n With regard to the Ethernet services in the Hybrid microwave services, the cross-connection and the dual-fed are not performed on the IFH2 and EMS6. Therefore, the 1+1 protection for the Hybrid microwave service is implemented by the IFH2 and the EMS6.

OptiX RTN 620 – IFH2
The IFH2 completes the multiplexing and hybrid transmission of TDM services and data services. In the OptiX RTN 620,u E1 service: The TDM service connection between the interface board and the IF board is implemented through the
backplane of the OptiX RTN 620.The cross-connect function of the TDM services is implemented on the cross-connect board.
u Data service: The TDM service transmission can be processed according to the requirements.1. If the Layer 2 switching of the Ethernet services is required, the EMS6 must be configured. Then, the EMS6 performs the
Layer 2 switching of the Ethernet services. The network port on the front panel of the IFH2 and the network port on the frontpanel of the EMS6 are connected through a network cable to transmit data services. The preceding figure shows the connection of the GE interfaces on the two boards through a network cable in the actual application.
2. If the Layer 2 switching of the Ethernet services is not required, connect the network cable that is used to transmit the Ethernet services to the network port on the IFH2.

OptiX RTN 620 – IFH2l The IFH2 provides one GE electrical interface on the front panel. The IFH2 supports
the synchronous Ethernet function. It extracts clock signals from Ethernet signals. The GE interface on the IFH2 supports the following port functions:ü Supporting the setting and query of Ethernet port operating modes and the supported working
modes include the 10M/100M/1000M full-duplex mode and the auto-negotiation modeü Supporting the access of Ethernet II and IEEE 802.3 service frames of which the maximum
length is 1966 bytesü Supporting the IEEE 802.3x-complaint flow control based on the PORT
l The GE interface on the IFH2 supports the following Ethernet QoS functions:ü Supporting IEEE 802.1p-complaint traffic classificationü Supporting the 4-level queue scheduling in SP mode

OptiX RTN 620 – EMS6
n The EMS6 supports four FE interfaces and two GE interfaces to implement Layer 2 switching. The four FE interfaces use the standard RJ-45 connectors, and are 10M/100M auto-adaptive interfaces. According to the actual application scenarios, the two GE interfaces can be optical or electrical byusing different SFP modules.
n The EMS6 is developed in the OptiX RTN 600 V100R002. In the OptiX RTN 600 V100R003, the hardware does not change, but the data features of the software are enhanced.
n When the EMS6 is used with the IFH2, the SFP module that supports the electrical interface (RJ-45 connector) must be used. The preceding figure shows the GE electrical interface that uses the RJ-45 connector.

OptiX RTN 620 – EMS6
l External portsp There are six PORTs, namely, four FE interfaces and two GE interfaces. The four FE interfaces
(PORT1–PORT 4) are RJ-45 electrical interfaces. The two SFP GE interfaces can be LC optical interfaces or RJ-45 electrical interfaces. When the GE interface is the electrical interface, it is compatible with the FE interface.
p The FE interfaces and the GE electrical interfaces on the EMS6 support the MDI, MDI-X, and adaptive modes.
p The external port attributes, such as the basic attribute, TAG attribute, network attribute, flow control, and advanced attribute can be set.
l Internal portsp The EMS6 provides eight internal ports, namely, VCTURNK1–VCTRUNK8. The common
parameters of each internal port include the TAG attribute, encapsulation/mapping protocol, network attribute, bound path, and LCAS.
p When each VCTRUNK binds VC-3 paths, all VC-3 paths in VC-4-1 and VC-4-2 can be bound. A maximum of six VC-3 paths can be bound. When each VCTRUNK binds VC-12 paths, all VC-12 paths in VC-4-2 can be bound. A maximum of 63 VC-12 paths can be bound.

n Connect the GE interfaces on the working and protection IF boards to the GE interface on the EMS6 through a network cable.
n Configure two GE interfaces on the EMS6 into one LAG. n The GE interface on the protection IF board is disabled. In this case, the Ethernet
services can be transmitted through only the GE interface on the working IF board.n After the working and protection IF boards perform the 1+1 HSB switching, the GE
interface on the original working IF board is disabled. The GE interface on the protection IF board is enabled to access the Ethernet services from the EMS6. This implements the switching of the working and protection IF boards.
l It is recommended that you install the 1+1 IF boards in slots 5 and 7 or slots 6 and 8 in pairs. (The IF board in slot 5 and the IF board in slot 6 are working boards.)
l The SD/FD must be installed in the paired slot.

V100R003 V1.04 Current delivery and network planning version
1. In 7 MHz and 14 MHz channel modes of the IFH2, or in 128QAM and 14 MHzchannel modes of the IF1, the central frequency point of the channel is 14 MHz away from the ODU border frequency. It is estimated that the V1.09 released in TR6 of the OptiX RTN 600 V100R003 will solve the problem.
2. The ODU V1.04/V1.06/V1.07 not supports the AM function.
3.ODU not support upgrade.
V100R003 V1.06
The power of five frequency bands (7 GHz/13 GHz/15 GHz/18 GHz/23 GHz) of the HP ODU is improved.
V100R003 V1.07The power of the full frequency bands of the SP/HP ODU is improved.
V100R003 V1.08 Supporting the AM
n When the SPA/LP ODU matches the IDU V100R003, the version difference does not exist.n The transmit power specified in the current network planning document is the power in the ODU
V1.04. If a special project requires the network planning document of the ODU in a later version, apply for it from the authorized department.
