INTRODUCTION GeoTrips is a new interactive website highlighting many of New Zealand's extraordinary geological features and landforms, and how to visit them. It is aimed at non- specialists and encourages hands-on, active investigation, inquiry and learning. It is of interest to travellers, tourists, teachers and anyone who loves exploring nature. The site currently has over 300 locations throughout the country. VUW has partnered with GNS Science via a summer scholarship project to develop locations in the Wellington and Wairarapa regions (Fig 1). Thirty-six sites were identified and added to the website. INTRODUCTION

GeoTrips is a new interactive website highlighting many of

New Zealand's extraordinary geological features and

landforms, and how to visit them. It is aimed at non-

specialists and encourages hands-on, active investigation,

inquiry and learning.

Further Progress
