Products & Services Intruder Alarms

Our portfolio delivers a complete range of security systems, utilising the highest quality products and services to provide cost effective solutions.

Every intruder alarm system, whether audible only or monitored, is custom designed to meet the requirements of each individual site whilst maximising security.

An expertly designed and customised intruder alarm system provides reliable and easy to use site security with the option of incorporating remote monitoring. Using sophisticated and high quality equipment, including UK manufactured control panels, we ensure maximum performance in a future-proof system.

Our systems are specified to suit the application, security level, notification options and response requirements of your site as well as any insurance needs with zoned configurations, multiple user systems and system activity logs included as standard.

All information generated by your alarm can be monitored through the GBSG Cloud to notify you of who set/unset the alarm, the set/unset times and the detector that triggered in the event of alarm activation.

The system can also be integrated with other solutions and configured to provide cost effective alerts for fire detection, temperature change, boiler

lockouts or failure of utility supplies. Alerts can be directed via your chosen method including SMS text messaging or email for both emergency and daily reporting.

Notifications can be achieved via a number of paths including telephone landline, cellular (GPRS/GSM), IP or a combination of all to provide secure and robust signalling. Upon receiving a signal at the ARC, our operators make decisions regarding the security level and response required in accordance to pre-defined procedures.

Fire Alarms CCTVEvery fire alarm system is designed to maximise personal safety and asset protection as well as minimise business interruption.

Every CCTV system is custom designed in accordance to NSI and British Standards to maximise the solution for each individual site to provide both security and management control.

We will design the best solution for your site by considering everything from exit routes and building structure to equipment and technology.

For high resolution imagery, we are at the leading edge in our development and implementation of IP based systems.

The benefits come from the potential to deliver a complete site management system – managing, monitoring and controlling activity through every gate, barrier or door, and the ability to track

people movements to provide roll call or personnel time and attendance management.

Solutions range from audio and video intercom through proximity tags and swipe

cards to biometrics, which use fingerprint and facial recognition software. Each solution can be

configured to match the precise demands of your site, using PC based, intercom or remote systems.

Doors can be programmed by user level or time zone, enabling some doors to be open for customers during the day but locked down out-of-hours; whilst high risk or controlled zones can be kept locked round the clock, with access only permitted by a valid tag, so guarding valuable or confidential assets or boosting health and safety risk management. Doors can also be programmed to activate an alarm, if left open.

Access control is ideal for high value and/or high risk sites, where it can help to cut the cost of manned guarding and today’s sophisticated systems can incorporate control of people and vehicles over multiple exits or multiple sites. It also opens the way to remote access management by our monitoring centre, both in and out of hours through the GBSG Cloud, further reducing the need for onsite guarding.

Integration through the GBSG Cloud with other security systems opens the way to further solutions including the use of CCTV and vehicle registration software to enable automatic access through controlled barriers by approved vehicles; or linking in to provide full building management with remote control of lights, heating, cooling, electricity or even music.

Through every second of every day, its checking to see if your systems are fully functional; whether telephone lines are live; and whether

automatic operations or personnel-initiated functions have taken place. If anything fails, the alert will immediately be presented to one of our trained operators.

Innovations include real-time communication through a direct connection to the GBSG Cloud, via a handheld smart device. It also enables GPS tracking of our engineers, to speed up our call-out response.

Perimeter protection at your lock-up compound includes movement detection. When an intruder activates the system, the CCTV system instantly sends live and alarmed images to the GBSG monitoring centre, where operators can use the tannoy to give a verbal warning and elevate the response to police alert if necessary.

Remote Access

Before leaving site, your drivers must connect to our remote monitoring centre through an intercom system. We activate the weighbridge, record the tonnage, generate a print off for the driver to take and then lift the exit barrier. All transport movements are covered in a daily report to your mobile and desktop.

CommunicationCommunication links between your site and the GBSG Cloud can be made via broadband, 3G/GPRS mobile or PSTN/ISDN connections. Using two methods of connection provides very high resilience.

Stephen and Helen WrightManaging Director and Director

Stephen and Helen established GBSG 30 years ago and continue to lead the strategic development of the company, driving forward new investment programmes to enhance customer delivery solutions, such as the recent upgrade to the GBSG ARC Gold 24/7 alarm and video remote monitoring centre.

Mary BreenGroup Administration Director

With a background in office management and extensive experience of streamlining administration functions and improving customer service, Mary plays a vital role in GBSG’s continued development. As well as managing all systems and processes, Mary is also responsible for human resource management and staff development.

Neil JacksonTechnical Director

Specialising in CCTV, access and integrated solutions, Neil has been a leading force in the development of security industry standards, including the BS 8418 standard with the BSIA. His technical expertise and innovative approach enables us to push the boundaries for customers by exploiting functionality.

David SimpsonIntruder and Fire Director

David is GBSG’s specialist regarding the design and installation of fire and intruder alarm systems. He has a wealth of knowledge with over 20 years’ experience in the security industry. Having developed from engineering to co-ordinating the installations, he was appointed director with the company in 2001.

Administration Team

The administration team is made up of a number of long serving and experienced staff members, who ensure that the day to day running of the business is carried out to the highest standard. Duties include administration, liaising with customers, booking appointments and arranging maintenance visits as well as purchasing and reception tasks.
