Professional Development Cancellation/Delay Information: On the day of a CREC PD event, please call CREC at (860) 509-3700 after 6:30 a.m. for cancellation or delay information.

This two-day refresher workshop is for participants who have already received their initial TCIS certification and are seeking to continue their certification (every six months).

Participants will review and practice behavior support techniques, emotional first aid, stress model of crisis, help me help myself crisis co-regulation, power struggles, LSI, protective intervention techniques, and physical restraints.

Participants will also review ICMP plans, discuss specific case scenarios, and other information with which they need help implementing.

Participants should bring their student workbooks with them and be prepared for the physical components for both days.

Participants will receive an updated certification upon completion of testing components.
