Overall objective:
To improve the regional/local waste prevention policies effectiveness in order to significantly reduce waste
production
Sub-objectives:
Definition of a common methodology for regional waste prevention policies,
the exchange of Good Practices (GPs),
the assessment of waste prevention actions efficiency and monitoring.

As a final result, public entities, directly or indirectly involved in the project
• will have an increased knowledge about good practices initiatives/policies in Europe
and
• will have increased competences on the evaluation of waste prevention policies’ effectiveness in order to influence the design of local strategies for waste prevention.

Focus on Good Practices
Some of the GPs initially selected had to be abandoned for lack of data or insufficient waste prevention aspects and some were replaced by similar experiences elsewhere for which more data was available.
