Dynamic and result oriented professional offering experience in Hospitality Industry
across Operations, Guest Relationship Management, Quality Management and Training,
current functioning as HOD — Front Office with D Y Patil University School of Hospitality
and Tourism Studies Navi Mumbai.
Internships offer students first-hand experience in what a career would be like in the
hospitality industry through exposure to various areas of a Hotel or a resort. Students ore
sent to the best of hotels in and around Mumbai for internship. Also, Interning abroad is
more than just a great way to get a step up over your competition in the industry and gain
a feel for what management level positions will be like. Travelling abroad also presents

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
• A candidate should have XII std examination with a minimum of 35% marks in any
stream of any state board or university for admission to graduate degree programme.
• Direct entry into second year for any student who has completed Three year diploma
programme in hotel management from any recognized board in India or abroad.
• The candidate should have cleared 10th std exam with a minimum of 35% marks from
any recognized state board for seeking admission.

opportunities not only limited to the Hospitality industry, but also as

TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL POLICIES
The objective of the cell is to ensure Training & Placement offer for each and every
student.
Every student must submit a copy of their updated resume with 04 photographs.
Every student is given a choice to sit for interviews at the organizations they prefer.
Mock interview sessions are conducted by subject faculties to improve upon students
skills.
Training & Placement cell offer multiple choices to students.
Each student is briefed and counseled with regards to working hours of the industry and
while selecting a job location.
Students are briefed to check Training & Placement notice boards, college websites and
notices on Learning Management System.
Messages are posted on students groups for Training & Placement Interviews at the
organizations.
Information with regards to Organizations visiting the campus will also be informed onstudents groups and notice boards.
Special screening of students will be done by the training and placement cell to match
organizations needs.
Any student arranging his training or placement on his own has to submit the offer letter
to the training & placement cell immediately.
A student should go through the terms and conditions laid down by the company before
accepting the same.
A student cannot accept an offer and then reject the same without a valid reason. The
training and placement cell should be informed with a written letter.
Any kind of misbehavior/ Complaints reported by the company officials will be taken seriously and if proven, the student will be debarred from the future campus placement.
A student should be formally dressed during training and placement interviews.
Students to carry sufficient resume copies, college id, photographs and a government
photo id for training and placement interviews.
Students should strictly follow the rules and regulations laid down during training and
placement at the organisation.
The training and placement cell will not be responsible for any termination act by the
organisation due to the fault of the student.
It is mandatory for students to complete their training schedule as per syllabus.
A student has to submit undertaking form and NOC duly signed by the parents during
Training.
Any other matter not covered in the above policy with be at the discretion of the training
and placement cell.
TRAINING PROGRAMMES
A student has to undergo minimum 22 weeks of
industrial training in core departments of a hotel like
Front Office, Food Production, Food & Beverage Service &
House Keeping.
