Internet Connection

Dear Tenant,

By signing this form, you assume liability for complying with these terms of use when using the

internet connection in your room.

1. It is forbidden to use the internet connection for the purposes of providing

telecommunication media services, telecommunication based services and/or other

communication services to third parties or for illegal advertising or information methods

(unsolicited advertising calls, faxes, e-mails) or sales transactions.

2. After setting up your personal password, you may use the internet connection for private

purposes only. You must not let third persons use the provided internet connection. You shall

be liable for any damage resulting from third party use of your internet connection.

3. You must not send unsolicited e-mails or other messages with advertising content to third

parties if this contrary to fair competition or illegal (no spam, bulk e-mail, junk mail). This also

applies to illegal postings of advertising or illegal messages in public user groups on the

internet.

4. It is also prohibited to use the connection abusively, to violate applicable laws or statutory

provisions, or to use it against public morals or violating public order.

Including but not limited to, while using the service, you must not spread any information

with illegal or immoral content (for example, information subject to §180, §130 a, §131 StGB

[German criminal code], or with the purpose of stirring up hatred against national, ethnic,

racial or religious groups, information inciting criminal actions and/or glorifying and/or

playing down violence, information that is sexually offensive in the meaning of § 184 BGB

(German civil code) or that can be used to morally endanger children or adolescents.

You shall be responsible for both, links to offerings as stated above and own offers.

5. It is also forbidden to allow third parties to spread content as stated above via your internet

connection or to access illegal third-party content or to make it available for viewing or

downloading or to support any illegal spreading or provision to third parties for viewing or

downloading; and you must not spread any viruses, Trojans or other malware and you must

comply with all technical requirements.

You must use the provided services peacefully and, including but not limited to, refrain from

denial-of-service attacks, hacking or espionage activities.

Any violation of these terms of use entitles Studierendenwerk Stuttgart to block your

connection. The amount of rent remains unchanged. Furthermore, we reserve the right to

assert damage claims.
