Astghik Marabyan is a museum specialist and researcher. She holds her BA degree in Art History and MA degree in General History from the Yerevan State University. Since 2007 she has been working at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) starting her career of a museum professional as an Assistant Registrar. Since 2016 Astghik has been the Director of Education of CCA. Her research interests include museum studies, art education, exhibition methods as educational experiences, modern and contemporary Armenian art. In her current position she is responsible for the education policy of CCA, defining and planning the overall education objectives, supervising the realisation of educational programs for schools, adults and families, as well as community outreach programming, concert series, rentals and special events. As part of her work she is also involved in PR, Marketing and Development activities of the Center. Astghik is a Board Member of the ICOM National Committee and the Museum Education Center in Armenia. Chen Li

Chen Li has been working in Nanjing Museum since 2013. She is mainly in charge of international loans. If any foreign museum intends to borrow objects from Nanjing Museum or Nanjing Museum would like to borrow an object, Chen Li is the contact to finalise the list, the agreement, the timeline, installation and de-installation arrangements and so on. One of her main goals for attending the ITP is to get to know participants from a variety of museums and to make good relations for future collaborations. In the past few years, Nanjing Museum has cooperated with the Metropolitan Museum of Art,

the British Museum, the National Museum of Scotland, the Royal Ontario Museum in Canada,

La Caixa Banking Foundation in Spain, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, State Russian

Museum, Kyushu National Museum in Japan, Auckland Museum and so on. Currently, the

exhibition "Romantic Scotland" comprising of objects from the National Galleries of Scotland is

being shown at Nanjing Museum.

Brand development is also Chen Li’s field of interest as in today’s world, brand means power. The former director of the British Museum, Neil MacGregor, published a book entitled A History of the World in 100 Objects in 2010. The book has been translated into Chinese and gained many fans. The exhibition with the same title which is being displayed in China has also gained much attention via social media. Guo Xifeng

Guo Xifeng lives in Shanxi Province, China, which is regarded as the cradle of the ancient

Chinese civilisation. Guo Xifeng describes herself as independent, diligent and persistent but a

little introverted.

She majored in Museology for her Bachelor and Master’s degree at Shanxi University. Since

completing her studies she started work at Shanxi Museum in July 2008. She is an exhibition

planner and is also responsible for touring exhibitions and objects loaned to other museums.

Guo Xifeng has worked in the Development Department of Shanxi Museum for 9 years. Her

main responsibility is planning exhibitions. As an exhibition planner her role includes planning

the content of exhibitions, communicating with partners, writing the text, coordinating the work

of relevant departments, editing publications, editing demo content for electronic equipment,

handing over or taking over exhibits, installing or de-installing exhibitions and so on. So she

has been in charge of approximately 20 exhibitions. Guo Xifeng also manages touring

exhibitions and objects loaned to other museums.

Guo Xifeng enjoyed her major in Museology and loves her job. During the ITP she hopes to

communicate with museum professionals from other institutions and to improve her knowledge

of the museum world.

Heba Khairy

Heba manages the Collection Database at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). She works in various storerooms and museums, identifying artefacts to be displayed in GEM. This involves data entry such as taking measurements and photography. Heba keeps object information up to date by referring to register books and resources in libraries, storerooms, and museums. She works with conservators, providing them with object data including the data related to the conditions of objects.

Heba supports the future display of objects inside the museum galleries by working with the exhibitions team to provide information and identify where more information is needed about the collection. As Heba takes on a registrar role, she is very interested in accessing Collection Databases in the UK, learning about the latest approaches to exhibition development and is looking forward to exploring the British Museum as a museum with international status. Heba is personally looking forward to meeting international colleagues and to sharing knowledge, experience, passion, interests and friendship with them. She hopes to develop a sense of social responsibility, through engaging with local and international friends, and gaining a better understanding of her own and other’s cultural heritage.

Mariem Danial

Mariem has worked as a curator at the Coptic Museum since 2013. She is a member of the education team at the museum, in charge of creating activities for children, in particular school students. She creates and develops educational resources for visitors and designs learning strategies to engage the public in line with the ethos of the museum. Her research interest is Arabic Christian Heritage - history, culture and products through

Arabic and Coptic manuscripts.

Mariem also works as an assistant in the Manuscript Department, creating new records on the Coptic Manuscript database. She has assisted in the preparation of temporary exhibitions at the Coptic Museum over the last four years; responsibilities include collecting historical data for exhibition text and label, brochures and design banners. She participates in the committee for renewing museum labels, documentation system and database. Mariem has set up many workshops for teaching non-working women traditional crafts and industries which are then presented in museum collection and its surrounding area. A main goal of these programmes is to help solve the problem of unemployment. In 2016 she participated in the JICA Knowledge Co-Creation Program Museums and Community Development in the National Museum of Ethnology, Japan.

Mariem is now working to create permanent education programmes in the Coptic Museum, to engage the Egyptian community and families in work of the Coptic Museum as an Egyptian Museum rather than solely a Christian museum. This summer she is one of three curators planning and coordinating a training programme for Coptic Museum volunteers. Norhan Hassan Salem

Norhan is a Registrar in the Registration Collection Management and Documentation

Department (RCMDD) and also works as a Museum Educator at the Egyptian Museum of

Cairo (EMC). She has worked at EMC since 2012 to present with different specialties.

Noor has a Bachelor in Egyptology from the Faculty of Archaeology, Egyptology Department

at Cairo University and a Diploma in History of Art from the same university. Currently, she is

preparing her Master's thesis in Greco-Roman art titled: Mummies' Cartonnage in Greco-

Roman era in Egypt, Artistic- Anthropological study at Greco-Roman Department. Noor was

the Archaeological Specialist of the Children’s Museum of Lego.

She works in documentation, accessioning, outside requests for the scholars, and inventory.

Noor also works in planning the curatorial content of guided tours and in designing workshops

for specific occasions; for children, teenagers, adults and also older people in relation with the

museum educational and cultural programmes. She assists with temporary exhibitions, with

responsibilities including loans, museum display and labelling.

She has participated in the following projects - Egypt Documentation Project, the British

Museum - the Department of Ancient Egypt and Sudan, and the Ministry of Antiquities. And

Memphis Site and Community Development project (MSCD), Ancient Egypt Associates

(AERA), University of York and the Ministry of Antiquities.

Noor enjoys participating in the museum’s temporary exhibition, events and workshops as she

finds these activities allow her to be involved with the museum’s visitors and local community.

She is interested in getting in touch with other cultures, living through new experiences and is

looking forward to creating new friendships - sharing experiences, thoughts and ideas

together. This will be a new and unique experience for Noor, particularly because she has

never travelled outside of Egypt.

Lena Lambrinou

Lena’s primary areas of professional interest and expertise include Greek archaeology, the

architectural history of ancient Greece and the theoretical background behind contemporary

restoration practices. For some years (2003-2014) she taught an annual course for the

University of Athens on archaeological documentation.

In the field, she has served as the team architect on numerous archaeological excavations in

Greece. She also worked for the Athens Metro (1995-1997), where she supervised the

archaeological documentation of excavations in Central Athens. On the Athenian Acropolis,

Lena completed an extensive study of the Parthenon’s North Colonnade in 2005, as part of

YSMA’s new intervention on that part of the monument.

Lena then served as the responsible architect for the North Colonnade’s restoration (columns

and architraves), a project completed in 2009. She also contributed to the restoration of the

Parthenon’s Pronaos, finished in 2004, and supervised the fluting of its restored columns

(2011-2015).

Most recently, she completed the necessary study for an impending intervention on the West

Wall of the Parthenon’s Cella (published in 2015).

At the moment, she is also involved in the reopening of the Old Acropolis Museum, which will

house an archaeological storage area for architectural members, combined with a public

exhibition of specific ancient objects and modern restoration artefacts from each of the

Acropolis monuments.

Andrea Terron Gomez

Andrea is an anthropologist from Guatemala, with a little over 10 years’ experience in

museums, national and private, working with cataloguing, documenting, exhibition planning

and other procedures that are core to any museum around the world.

During her career she decided to apply abroad and had the opportunity to study for a Masters

and PhD candidacy in Osaka, Japan. She studied at Osaka University and at the National

Museum of Ethnology. At the museum, Andrea had the opportunity to study under professors

who work for the museum, the lessons she learned are priceless, and she continues to learn

from that international academic environment.

She returned to Guatemala 4 years ago and is now working as a curator.

Andrea intends to learn more about museum management and exhibition design, as well as

conservation and documentation procedures whilst on the International Training Programme.

Chithra Kallur

Chithra is a curator specialising in Indian art. Her research interests include Hindu art, folk arts, crafts, oral histories, museum historiography and digital archiving. Chithra received her MA in Museology (2001) and PhD in Art history (2010) from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. She presently works as the Head Archivist at Museum of Art and Photography, Bangalore alongside independent curatorial ventures. Chithra heads the documentation of a large and varied collection of art, photography, textiles and design – predominantly from the Indian subcontinent. She and a team comprising of a photographer, image editor and assistant archivists are currently developing a digital database for the collection of over 20000 artefacts. Chithra’s other responsibilities include working with the team on exhibitions, publications and public outreach activities. Besides her career as an archivist, she pursues independent curatorial and research projects.

Gandhimathi Janakiraman Mohana

Gandhimathi describes herself as an experienced, enthusiastic and result oriented curator. She directs the acquisition, storage, and exhibition of collections, including negotiating the purchase, exchange or loan of collections. She has a proven ability in authenticating, evaluating and categorising the specimens in a collection. Gandhimathi also oversees and helps to conduct her institution's research projects and related educational programmes. As the curator of three District Museums in Tamil Nadu, Gandhimathi has gained technical as well as administrative skills in managing a Museum independently. With her vast experience in the field of Museology, she feels a moral responsibility to advise other cultural institutions, both public and private as well as individuals about safeguarding the cultural objects and antiquities in their possession. Creating awareness amongst the public about India's rich cultural heritage is her goal and something she is positively working towards achieving. She is a self-taught artist who draws and paints during her spare time. Gandhimathi paints both traditionally and digitally and also does metal embossing works and graphic Illustrations for books.

Hafnidar

As the head of the Education and Collection section Hafnidar is responsible for managing staff including volunteers, leading education programme design for school group visits, providing information for researchers and supervising the finding, acquisition, registration, documentation, display and the whole management of the collections at Museum Aceh.

Hafnidar has been in this role for one year; she has re-designed the permanent exhibition from a static to a dynamic concept and carried out background research to increase the size of the collection. She initiated a volunteer programme during weekends to improve the museum service for visitors and improved how her team managed their time and work load.

Hafnidar re-designed the official museum website to include new branding and external publications. She has developed a public programme at local schools to encourage students’ interest and engagement in traditional activities or games related to museum education.

She is immensely interested in exhibition design and all of the elements required including preparation, techniques, and materials to be used in the exhibition; thinking how to convey substantial meaning of items to support the display value and how to explore, analyse, design, and realise the ideas. Hafnidar finds it challenging yet highly motivating to work with many ideas from co-workers - to select, collect and combine the best ideas which create the final exhibition.

Hafnidar has worked on projects including designing a permanent exhibition at Balaikirti Museum about the presidents of Indonesia and assisting with the preparation and aquiring of new objects for the new Lhokseumawe City Museum in Aceh.

She is currently working on translating the permenant exhibition labels into English with college students, documenting the museum’s colleciton of manuscripts, and preparing museums training activities to inspire college students amd staff at museums across Aceh.

Ala Talebian

Ala is currently an Architecture student, studying in Tehran University’s College of Fine Arts. She is mostly interested in fine arts especially painting, photography and art history and has participated in a few national competitions. Her studies are largely orientated around cultural heritage including monuments, sites and museums. Ala is highly passionate about museum studies and is an ICOM member. She has volunteered in museums such as the Bundeskunsthalle in Germany and the Science and Technology Museum of Tehran. As a volunteer at the Bundeskunsthalle Ala had the chance to work in many different fields. She added to the database, took object dimensions and prepared them for transportation and worked on lighting. As an intern at the Science and Technology Museum Ala carried out documentation and photography of the collections. She is passionate about communicating with people from different backgrounds and as a result is studying Italian and German as well as English and Persian.

Matsosane Emely Molibeli

Matsosane is currently working at the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture, under the

Department of Culture, as the Principal Museum Curator. She holds a Masters in Museum

and Heritage Studies from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. With her background in

museum studies she has had the opportunity to engage in a number of exhibition projects.

She facilitated the development of an exhibition at Ha Baroana which showcased rock art

paintings. Matsosane has also been working as a supervisor and coordinator during the

development of Thaba Bosiu National Monument (site museum), renowned for its rich cultural

heritage.

Since 2008 she has enjoyed taking part in the development of the nomination dossier for the

Sehlabathebe National Park, given World Heritage status in 2013. This is now part of an

extended site in South Africa known as Maloti Drakensberg Park.

Based on the aforementioned experiences Matsosane is keen to share her experiences as

well as challenges with other colleagues in this field. She is also eager to learn more from ITP

colleagues in order to widen her horizons at an international level and in a way that will

enhance her professional skills.

Mona Melling

Mona is a graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology, currently working at the Sarawak Museum Department. For the past seven years, she has worked as a taxidermist with the Natural History section and at present, is part of the Sarawak Museum Campus Project & Heritage Trail team.

As a Zoologist, Mona has a particular interest in the field of herpetology (life history of amphibians & reptiles). Besides Zoology, she is also very much interested in Anthropology (cultural anthropology).

Her current research interests revolve around the indigenous spiritual beliefs and cosmologies of the local ethnics in Sarawak, particularly the various healing and death rituals. The intricate and elaborate rituals and its living cultural legacy in the form of sickness images, burial poles and huts are what fascinate her the most. Mona is also learning the local dialects spoken by the communities and the deeper meaning of words when uttered during rituals.

It is Mona’s role and goal to bring these mostly intangible stories in an engaging context with museum artefacts to future audience. During her time in London she would like to visit successful examples of exhibitions which can give me more insight in archiving the above mentioned research interest.

Her personal interests include playing the piano, reading, mountain trekking and exploring nature.

Zulkifli Ishak

Zulkifli works at the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia in the Curatorial Affairs Department. He is responsible for the collection of Islamic arms and armour. Zulkifli’s interest in this field developed while serving as a custodian of the Arms and Armour Gallery.

Since the opening of the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia in 1998, the museum’s collection has increased tremendously. Significant numbers of artefacts are housed inside the private museum, including the collection of Islamic arms and armour.

As a Curator in the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, Zulkifli’s main responsibilities include research, the display of the objects in the permanent gallery and exhibitions, the dissemination of information to the public through publications and tours as well as the translation of information to the local language. He is also involved with exhibition’s management and display related matters.

In 2015 Zulkifli selected objects from the arms and armour collection to display in the exhibition Symbols of Power and Beauty: The collection of the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia. The exhibition showcased the best objects within the collection including masterpieces from different categories such as blade weapons, staff weapons, firearms, armours and accessories.

Thi Thi Phyo

Thi Thi Phyo is an assistant curator of the Myanmar Art Gallery of the National Museum Yangon. She was awarded a BA degree specialising in English language and literature from Dagon University in 2005, a post graduate diploma in museology from the National University of Art and Culture, Myanmar in 2013 and a master of research degree from Yangon University, specializing in archaeology, in 2014. As an assistant curator of the Myanmar Art Gallery Thi Thi Phyo assisted in the display of works when the gallery was renovated last year, and is also responsible for temporary art exhibitions. She maintains and keeps object labels and gallery text up to date and assists with the curatorial workshops, held at the National Museum in collaboration with international colleagues. Thi Thi Phyo works closely with conservators as condition checking is a part of her daily routine. Based on her findings and conversations with the conservation department Thi Thi Phyo produces reports for the curators. Her daily responsibilities are made up of a variety of tasks including checking the lighting systems, supervising security and cleaners and looking after the audio guide service. As an amateur artist, her works have been displayed in four local group art exhibitions since 2010. Thi Thi Phyo loves the colour, texture and form of modern art world. She loves to travel and has many interests including all forms of art, collecting antiques, learning languages, experiencing culture and traditions of different countries and civilisations. Thi Thi Phyo is an active yogi and a member of Yangon Bonsai Club.

Tapunga’s admiration and passion for his indigenous heritage drives him to develop and enhance his understanding of all things Māori in particular, Te Reo Māori (the Māori language), Tikanga Māori (Māori traditional customs) and Tonga Māori (Māori treasures). Through his professional involvement with taonga Māori, Tapunga has developed an understanding of a balanced methodology around the caring of taonga Māori. With a background in education, he firmly believes that education is an essential tool in developing the capacity and capabilities of indigenous people, with the hope that one day, Māori or any other indigenous people can manage and care for their traditional taonga, and truly fulfil the role of kaitiekitanga (guardianship). Tapunga is responsible for the care and access of the taonga Māori collection held at Tairāwhiti Museum. He supports and assists with the management of the taonga Māori Collection, acts as the Tikanga Māori (indigenous customs) advisor and responds to any inquiries related to the taonga Māori collection. Beimote is the education officer/assistant curator at the Currency Museum of the Central Bank of Nigeria. She has a BA in Public and Administrative Studies, a Masters in Public and International Affairs and a Masters in Museum Studies from Newcastle University. Beimote is married with three children (two girls and a boy). Beimote’s interest in the Museum and Heritage Sector developed from 2009 when her organisation decided to open the Currency Museum. Prior to that time, Beimote worked in operations at the Central Bank of Nigeria in Abuja and had not visited a museum before. In her day to day work Beimote is responsible for planning and maintaining the roster for visiting students, organising programmes for schools, receiving requests for visits to the museum and coordinating the processing. Beimote carries out the educational procession and tours of the museum. She coordinates the desk officers and tour guides during visits to ensure the smooth running of sessions and provides and evaluates feedback on the museum’s activities. Beimote also accessions objects and is also responsible for the documentation of existing and newly acquired artefacts. This involved the complete and accurate indexing, labelling and cataloguing of artefacts. Beimote is interested in what the visitor thinks - how he or she reacts to the displays. Beimote would like to improve the visitors’ experience to encourage repeat visitors. Qurat is an archaeologist and enjoys every aspect of archaeology. For a long time she has been working in the field carrying out surveys, excavations and documentation, (dealing with antiquities from in situ to showcasing in the museum) which have become her prime interests in recent years. Qurat has worked on Buddhist sites and likes to explore built heritage of Muslim and Hindu periods e.g. art & architecture. Her main work as a field archaeologist is to devise and execute projects i.e. surveys, excavations, report writing and so on. She supports and engages students in fieldwork and helps them with their research. Qurat facilitates teaching and learning within the museum by delivering lectures to the students on museology and teaching them basics of museum studies, e.g. cataloguing, registration and packing and transportation of museum objects. Raneen graduated from Birzeit University with a major in Business Administration in 2013.

She started working at the Palestinian Museum as the Director’s Executive Assistant. In her

current role as the Public Programmes and Exhibition Coordinator, Raneen is preparing for

two upcoming exhibitions in September 2017 and January 2018. She works with colleagues

to develop, plan and implement all exhibition programming including gallery talks, lectures,

symposiums, special activities, performances, film screenings and family’s activities.

She focuses on the management of the production and installation elements of the exhibition

by managing communications, keeping the project to schedule, tracking expenditures and

transactions, maintaining paperwork and producing reports.

Raneen has been involved in lots of voluntary projects, working with the community, including

helping to coordinate festivals on the West Bank and Jerusalem. She has also participated in

other training programmes including the Cultural Management Training Programme with the

Goethe Institute in Germany.

Elnzeer Tirab

Elnzeer has a master in Folklore Science and is interested in oral history and ethnographic collections. Previous to his current role Elnzeer conducted research in western Sudan and worked in the Nyala Museum. In his current role Elnzeer is responsible for the daily supervision of the museum, conducting museum tours and official visits and the documentation of the collection. Elnzeer is currently researching objects from the Ethnographic Collections in Khalifa House and documenting the Mahdiys objects, kept in the store rooms. Elnzeer hopes to develop his knowledge of marketing, fundraising, education and exhibitions whilst on the ITP Summer Programme. Haitham is currently studying archaeology at the University of Dongola in the faculty of Arts & Human Studies and works in Sudan National Museum. His main responsibilities include arranging the collection in the store room, studying the collection, documenting objects and processing objects arriving from sites. He also participates in archaeological missions (excavations and conservation). He is also responsible for displaying the collection of objects from the Sea Ports Corporation Museum in Sudan - a corporation that governs, constructs and maintains the ports, harbours and lighthouses. Irem’s professional interest in museum studies started when she received her BA degree from Bilkent University, Department of Archaeology and History of Art in 2006. She was an intern on the Hacımusalar Archaeological Excavation and in the Rahmi M. Koç Industrial Museum Curatorial Department. She was able to work with objects, material culture, displays, narration and began to consider how objects should be represented in museums. During her MBA project at the Istanbul Bilgi University Irem focused on how museums in Turkey can be compatible with marketing tools in today’s competitive environment. During her second MA degree with Istanbul Bilgi University her thesis was entitled From the Anthropologized Native to the Exhibited ‘Savage’: Ethnographic Exhibitions at the Victorian Spectacle During the Second Half of the Nineteenth Century. In this research, Irem focused on the use of anthropology as a political tool by the British Empire during the production of colonial discourse as well as the history, content and public presentation of ‘blackness’ in the ethnographic exhibits during the first half of the nineteenth century. Irem’s research interests lie in the field of historical museology, European collecting practices, Islamic material culture and the postcolonial theory. Recently, she has been writing an article on the history of ethnographic exhibitions and their relations to the disability studies and is working on PhD applications. Her career goal is to be part of the academic and museum community in order to train future students, curate exhibitions as well as to conduct academic research to contribute to museum studies and social sciences. Nurcan Yalman

Nurcan is an experienced prehistorian/archaeologist based in Istanbul. She completed her PhD on ethno-archaeology at the Istanbul University in 2005. Nurcan has taken part in many excavation projects, including her longest serving project Çatalhöyük (1994-2011). She was appointed as the scientific supervisor/curator of the exhibition From Earth to Eternity: Çatalhöyük in Istanbul and has participated in various stages of the exhibition, making decisions on the archaeological display, the theme, the usage of visual media, the selection of the archaeological material and on the design process of the exhibitions (2005-6). She has given several lectures on archaeology in Kadir Has University and Mimar Sinan University, and many seminars and conferences on related subjects. Since 2011, she has been focusing on cultural heritage studies (mainly interested in the community engagement) and joined the projects of CIE-Center for International Heritage Activities in Leiden, The Netherlands. Nurcan has worked with CIE as an advisor for a number of years and has taken a leading role in many of the field schools and identification missions such as those in Sri Lanka and Tanzania. She was also involved in developing sustainable heritage education programmes in Turkey and Tanzania. Nurcan served as an Executive Board Member for the European Association of Archaeologists and was appointed as the vice president from 2013-2016. She is also on the Board of Trustees for the Cultural Awareness Foundation in Istanbul. Currently Nurcan teaches archaeology classes within a program called Archaeology for Everyone for non-academic adults. Currently Nurcan is conducting an intangible heritage project in Istanbul titled Stories of the Grand Bazaar together with CIE and Cultural Awareness Foundation, with a small team consisting of four students. Fadzai Muchemwa

Fadzai is the Assistant Curator at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Harare. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Communication. Fadzai was a teacher for over twelve years before making a career change to join the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in October 2014 as the assistant to the chief curator.

Fadzai is interested in the history and memory of African storytelling, gender and sexuality in visual art, conceptual art, performance and the history of African art. For Fadzai these are areas which need to be revisited for communities to forge their identity. Fadzai is also interested in the diaspora as well as how the global North has influenced trends in Africa. She has worked on the projects Basket Case II, the Mawonero/Umbono publication, the Zimbabwe Pavilion at the 56th Venice Biennale in 2015 and on the migration exhibition Kabbo ka Muwala/The Girl’s Basket which has just finished showing in Bremen. Fadzai attended the ICI curatorial intensive in Dakar in June 2016 and she will be Assistant Curator for the Zimbabwe Pavilion at the 57

th La Biennale di Venezia.

Fadzai’s day to day work involves assisting the Chief Curator in conceiving, planning and realising exhibitions. She works with the conservation and collections manager to identify and recommend artworks for the permanent collection to the Board of Trustees’ acquisition committee. She is responsible for running international programmes that include: research, exhibitions, artist talks, curatorial seminars, traveling exhibitions and exchanges programs. As part of outreach, together with the Education Department and Marketing, Fadzai has been tasked with involving the community in the work of the museum.

Fadzai also plans the long term strategy of exhibitions, the events schedule as well as the exhibitions schedule. She collaborates with other museum departments, such as education, fundraising, marketing and conservation to ensure that exhibitions are well researched and well presented.
