Executive Summary
Introduction
The AUC administration is rigorously pursuing means to achieve one of its main strategic objectives, which is
'Internationalizing the campus through diversity and global exposure'. This survey will help administration assess
AUC as Egypt's Global University by assessing opinions of international students regarding various aspects of their
experience at AUC. Furthermore, the results of the survey will be used to help ISL improve international students’
overall experience at AUC.
This survey was developed by the Office of International Student Life (ISL), in collaboration with the Office of Data
Analytics and Institutional Research (DAIR).
Methodology and Organization of the Report

Some groups would not email back or respond at all to my wanting to apply or be a part of them. Most that I was a part of were very unorganized especially student made events pertaining to art or performing which received less than no assistance from the adults running the university and most of the art department itself is has very little funding or support. Egyptians are very inclusive but sometimes it's hard to fit in and their not really making an effort to approach us the internationals
Acceptance. Its very difficult for some Egyptian Nationals to accept diversity.
Sports information are not very easy to find online. The website should be more helpful.

Response:
Get out & immerse yourself. Good luck! Stay focused. Be wary with your spending. Don't go to Khan el Khalili. They will take advantage of you and leave you feeling less than human.
Find a different University that actually cares
AUC is a good place to study and experience Egypt. It will be wise for them to consider enrolling.
Get out to other areas of Cairo and Egypt, do not stay in the AUC/New Cairo bubble
stay away?
Try to get out of the AUC/Tagomaa bubble. It's really different from the rest of Cairo
I would advise them to see as much of Egypt as possible with friends in order to get to know the country better.
Do not attend AUC if you're not comfortable living in a third world country.
Respecting a culture and letting others dictate what you can and cannot do are two different things.
Be patient as it will work out eventually Grasp the opportunity to study in the Middle East and make the most out of it. It is only when you experience this part of the world that you will see how misunderstood a region it is. Study, travel, learn the language and get involved.
