AIM OF CONFERENCE:
Professional meetings of mangrove researchers and managers are important for the development of new techniques for mangrove restoration in the region and developing networks amongst researchers for future research in this field with the following objectives.
OBJECTIVES
•To build local and regional capacity in mangrove restoration and management and continue to raise public profile of the values of mangroves among the Asia-Pacific Countries.
•To bring together national, regional, international researchers, forest managers and NGO’s to share experience and knowledge of the sustainable management of mangrove ecosystems in view of climate change.

Proceedings and Publications:• Papers will be published as a conference proceedings • Selected papers will be submitted to the Journal of Tropical Forest Science (JTFS) Impact Factor (IF) – 0.537

Social and cultural programme, promoting informal contacts between conference participants and contact with rich cultural heritage of Malaysia will be important components of the MAPCVCC-2014 activities
