Problems of current surveys

v  Mostly related to the test development itself but not to the theoretical model § Perception: assess the emotion elicited in the

observer instead of the emotion showed. - There is no task for assessing the expression of

emotion

§ Use: connection between performance of these tasks, and the “using emotion” abilities is not clear.

§ Managing: There is not enough evidence for whether and how theoretical knowledge is related to one’s actual ability to manage emotions Further information: Maul, 2012

What is the difference

First “real MOBILE ability test”

Take advantage of DEVICES’ possibilities

More dynamic experience

Consider TiME as a Variable

Bet/challenge users “gamification”

MEIT

CONCLUSIONS

v  MEIT is not an adaptation of MSCEIT, it is an “evolution” in the EI assessment.

v  MEIT is still “under construction.” We have already done a lot of work but we need your feed-back to carry on the development and improve the final result.

v  We are open to international projects and collaborations with universities and/or companies.
