Mistress of Ceremonies

Tanya BeckettTanya Beckett started her career as an investment banker and after five years

switched to broadcasting. She has worked as an anchor for CNBC, SKY and forthe last ten years the BBC. During that time she presented Breakfast News (BBC1),Business Breakfast (BBC1), BBCWorld News and Business News.

She returned last year from a two and a half year position in New York corre-sponding daily for BBC News. Tanya has a Metallurgy degree from Oxford and ismarried with two children.

Keynote Speaker

Erwin HuberErwin Huber is Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport,

and Technology. He came into office on November 29, 2005. Prior to this, Mr. Huber served as State Minister for Federal Affairs and Administrative Reformand Head of the Bavarian State Chancellery from 1998 to 2005. From 1995 to1998, he was Bavarian Minister of Finance. He began his career at the BavarianState Ministry of Finance in 1970. In addition, Mr. Huber has held several politicaloffices: He has served as District Chairman of the CSU (Christian Social Union) of Lower Bavaria since 1993 and as a member of the Bavarian state legislaturesince 1978. From 1988 to 1994, he was the Secretary General of the CSU, after serving as Deputy Secretary for a year. Mr. Huber studied Economics andPublic Finance at the University of Munich. He is married and has two children.
