1 Ranks are awarded differently depending on year of completion as advised by Australasian Conference of Tertiary Admission Centres (ACTAC).

A bonus is applied for applicants who have studied a Language Other Than English. The bonus varies depending on the score achieved and whether the subject was Standard Level or Higher Level. The bonus is applied to the notional Tertiary Entrance Aggregate (TEA) of the notional Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) equivalent to the base selection rank for the year of completion. The adjusted notional Tertiary Entrance Rank is then converted back to a notional ATAR, which becomes the selection rank. The notional ATAR / TEA comparison is based on the previous year’s distribution, and is adjusted annually. The TEA bonus is as per the table below

4 Qualifications deemed comparable with the GCE include the Cambridge Higher School Certificate, Malaysian STPM, West African Higher School Certificate (Principal Level), West African General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level), East African Advanced Certificate of Education, Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education, Tanzanian Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education, Uganda Certificate of Education and University of Malta Advanced Matriculation examinations
