nomination. This visa class enables people to reside and work in the

country on a permanent basis.

Section 489 is a temporary class arrangement. The onus of selection of

people for this class lies on the governments of provinces and territories.

The migrants gaining entry on the basis of this class are allowed to reside

and work in the country for a period of 4 years.

Section 457 is a temporary work visa option and it permits people to live

and work in the country for a period of 4 years. For this class, it is
