Artisan Glass Collection

There is nothing more fascinating thanwatching an experienced artisan at work.

In the 15th Century the glass blowing techniques used

for our Artisan Glass Collection were unique to Murano,

Italy. Previously the reserve of the aristocracy and the

very wealthy, these skills and techniques are now

available from specialist and highly trained glass blowers

across the globe. Interiors 1900 have spent a great deal

of time sourcing glass factories and studios with the

experience needed to create beautiful glass pieces in the

same spirit as those first created in Murano.

The glass is worked at up to 1100°C with the care

and skill that only a trained artisan has. As a

consequence each is an individual art piece and

will vary slightly in colour, shape and design from

those pictured. There may also be some small

bubbles or imperfections in the glass which are

inherent to this process.

Available with a choice of grey satin silk, putty beige

faux suede and white pleated shades. The large

size and bold nature of these lamps will create a

stunning statement piece in any interior.

We have designed two versatile ranges of flush fittings and dual mount chandeliers

to over come the problem faced by some of our customers; that some fittings are

too large for modern lower ceiling houses.

The Capella collection features organic sweeping arms using G9 light bulbs

surrounded by crystal embellishments to create an eye catching lighting effect.

Zina Nickel collectionDesigned exclusively for Interiors 1900,

the Zina range brings the

elegant and graceful forms of Art

Nouveau to 21st century lighting.

The range is available in polished nickel

or antique brass finish. These are

complemented by superbly crafted soft

shades in black, off white or chocolate

and with white or beige art glass.

The art glass shades featured with the

Zina and Columbia ranges are entirely

hand made of glass only (no paints,

dyes or stains). The techniques used

could be recognised by glass makers

going back for centuries. Today, only a

few glass makers retain the skills to

make glass of this standard.

Each shade is different and each is

unique. There will be variation from the

glass illustrated and between the

glasses supplied.
