    PLYWOOD CORE TYPES

    Combination Core

There are two types of Combination Core construction. The first type consists of a center veneer

core an a crossban veneer on both sies of the center with a !ayer of "D#$ partic!eboar$ or

harboar uner the face an bac% veneer& The second type consists of an oriented strand board or

wafer board center with a veneer crossband on both sides, under the face and bac veneer. Combination

Core can be used when the pro!ect calls for consistent flatness and "ood screw#hold ability, without the

wei"ht of a MDF or particleboard core.
