APPLICATIONS INTHE TYRE INDUSTRY

The tyre productionprocess starts by mixingthe components. They aremixed at high temperaturesand pressures to obtain anhomogeneous mass.

A calender consists ofseveral large diameterrollers, which roll therubber mass out into thinlayers. Depending on therequirements, a layer oftextile or steel threads canbe inserted between thelayers.

An extruder consists of anextruder cylinder and anextruder screw. The rubbercomponents are mixed in the extruder under high pressure and then pressed through a nozzle.

Within the factory, thetyres are moved on beltand roller conveyors. Theplant includes elevators,inclined conveyors anddirection switches, as well as overhead conveyors.
