• National Taiwan Science Education Center organizes National Primary & High School Science Fair (NPHSSF) and Taiwan International Science Fair (TISF)
• Most funding comes from the government, also received funding from Intel, KT Lee Foundation for science & technology, GFC & TDK Corporation
• 183 students, 121 projects from 11 countries participating at 2009 TISF

Science Fairs Biggest obstacles
1. Insufficient government support & funding2. Good quality of projects, involve research &
experimentation3. Low participants ratio compared to the
populations of students4. Schools focus on academic performance &
exams, in general teaching practices do not support project based learning
