The European buildings are responsible of 40% of global

energy consumption. Reduce this share of 20% within

4 In the construction and renovation of a thermal boiler room, the adoption of regulation end pumping units (Series PAS, FSAP, PASM), facilitate the managing / control of the heat transfer fluid and of the installation/maintenance works.

Watts Industries produces several new models complete of on-off valves with integrated thermometer, gravity flow stop device, connections and wall mounting brackets, EPP insulation, with 3 way mixing valve modulating or fix point type. The units are ready to mount standard circulating pumps with different lengths (130-180 mm) and Erp ready pumps.

The pumping units are designed following the modularity prin-ciple with the advantage of fast connection and mounting to heating circuit distributors (Series VB32) and hydraulic switch (Series HW and HW-Q60/80).

10The radiant panel heating system is a technique that warranties maximum comfort with low energy consumption.It is also enough to supply to cold liquid to the radiant panel system to obtain with a unique solution, a system that can be used for heating in winter and cooling in summer time.Thanks to the improvement of the performances of construction and insulation materials, the building energy request continuously decreases.

For these reasons the radiant panel heating systems can be supplied with two different ways:

- With high temperature fluid, mixed before being sent to the radiant circuits - With low temperature fluid produced by condensing boilers or heat pumps.

11Watts Industries designs and produces high quality preassembled manifolds (Series HLV and HKV) for fluid dis-tribution and control of heating and sanitary systems.

Completely made of stainless steel the new manifolds Series HLV, available from 2 to 12 outlets, are preassembledwith galvanized brackets with antivibrating supports for fast and easy installation.

This manifold series, increase the stainless steel preassembled manifolds range, already available as HKV 2013A-VA with an on-off and control valve and with a flow meter on each outlet.These models are suitable with electrothermic actuators series 22C and 26LC.

All the manifolds can be equipped with the following accessories:on-off valve series KHT-1, end-fitting valves series ES-QS with filling/empting function and modular shells of EPP insulation.

Geothermal energy is a form of energy found in Earth crust and it is partially extracted through natural or forced circulation of fluids . Geothermal source is located in all planet regions to different degrees. Above 30 m depth, where climate and meteo-rological factors become irrelevant, the temperature increased by 1 °C every 30 m.

KLVThermostatic anti-condensation valve for solid fuel boilers. At the ignition of the boiler this valve ensures a fast reaching of the working temperature avoiding the phenomenon of acid condensation that is typical in solid fuel boilers.

SOLARKITThe thermostatic group for heat integration between solar system and boiler ensures the hot water desired temperature automatically diverting (without any external input of energy ) the water to the integration boiler when the solar energy is not enough to obtain the desired temperature.

15To obtain uniform temperatures inside buildings, reducing energy costs and prevent problems of systems, the real flow rates have to correspond to the theoretical calcula-ted values. This correspondence, often disregarded with serious consequences on the good working of the systems, is not easy to be obtained only working on piping diameters.

The installation of balancing devices, like valves series FO-BV and WATTFLOW, solves this problem and allows both in the design phase and especially in the field to have devices easy to use to perform balancing and testing.

Especially the valve Series FO-BV, based on the Venturi principle, has a calibrated orifice that allows, when used with the balancing instrument (Series BVT-SET), to quick measurethe instantaneous flow rate and to adjust it by rotatingthe handwheel. Once the calibration is done, it is possible mechanically fix the setting value.
